A twisted way of saying that they aren’t concerned with the individual involved in the case. It doesn’t matter what kind of person AS was. All that matters is he was black which means that he was a criminal in the minds of the LEOs and therefore they shot him.

Shot at extremely close range with expanding bullets. They dont penetrate all that well when they hit at the highest end of their design velocity, and he was a big dude.

I think most people would be surprised with what a "normal" person would show up as.
