I may have mistaken her for someone else. One I saw was an ABC affiliate wearing a red dress standing behind a news desk.

It’s not the officers would ever be safe working the beat again.
They probably already relocated and moved on.

A monkey fricking a football should have been able to beat Broome in a parish-wide election, but we got Bodi White.

A lot of those were well below intoxication concentration levels.
Just shows he consumed them.

I am not advocating firing him...I am saying they will find "justification". I don't remember the exact wording, but it was pretty clear in the feds written report that he didn't use what would be considered the best police tactics to de-escalate the situation.
From Jeff Landry's report according to the "use of force expert":
quote:
Sanders did not have a problem with the BRPD officers pulling their service weapons out and having them at the read position. He believed Officer Salamoni pointing his service weapon at Sterling's head and using profane language was a policy issue and Salamoni should have been disciplined, but it was not a 4th or 8th Amendment issue.
quote:
Sanders believed the BRPD Officers appeared to attempt a stop and frisk of Sterling. However, it was performed incorrectly because Officer Salamoni covered his partner with his weapon (i.e. the partner was in the line of sight of Salamoni's weapon).
Sanders had no other issues with the use of force or execution, including the tackle.
The other expert said this:
quote:
In Key's opinion, instead of initially approaching Sterling up close, the officers would have been at a greater tactical advantage had they engaged Sterling by ordering him at gun point from a position of cover... Salmoni, however, created a tactical problem by drawing his firearm and placing it within approximately an arm's length of Sterling.
quote:
Key provided the following opinion and information regarding Salamoni tackling Sterling: The "dumbest" thing Salamoni did throughout the entire encounter with Sterling was tackling him. By tackling Sterling, Salamoni completely exposed himself and left his partner with nothing but a taser to react.
Key ultimately said the use of force was reasonable, but the officer's tactics and training were problematic.
tl;dr - Salamoni is pretty much a goner.

Serious question, are you allowed to work another job while you are on government administrative leave? I'd assume yes right? I mean let's say they worked security as a 2nd job like a lot of cops, they could be working extra security shifts right?
I mean these guys could be well on their way to new careers at this point right? Just put in their 2 weeks if they are cleared and able to come back?

I hope so. Their city and state failed them on so many different levels. I wouldn't blame them at all for leaving.
