It reminds me of one of the middle school teachers I worked with at a previous school. She always wore clothes that were tight/form fitting but was always the first one to complain when a middle school boy gave her "negative" attention for her body. If you're going to dress like that, then you should probably be prepared for the attention you're going to receive from students and parents.
I think it also depends on where you work and the kids you work with. I worked with middle school boys, some of which had been abused, and had little to no grasp of "appropriate" dress and behavior. I always felt like I should represent for them how an adult working with kids should dress since they probably don't see much of that at home. At my current high school job, the kids have a fairly relaxed dress code and I make it a point to try to also follow that. The tank top and leggings she wears wouldn't even fly for our students and their dress code.
To hell with rocking some 4+ inch heels in an Elementary school though. Of course I'm also one of those leggings =/= pants kind of people, so I'm probably the wrong person to ask.
