It amazes me how scared people are to intervene in shite like this, even if it's two adults.
I was walking into the grocery store the other day and suddenly heard a bellowing "frick you". There's some baw, probably 55, talking shite to someone in an SUV who has now stopped in the middle of the crosswalk. Next thing I know, this big ole black dude (like buff kinda big) gets out and the two of them start exchanging words. The baw clearly doesn't want any smoke after seeing the size of the guy, but being the idiot he is he kept talking shite. Black dude is getting into his face by the time I make it to them.
A bunch of people are just standing around watching. Like wtf? I stood next to them and told 'em to chill out, mostly talking to the black dude who was about to turn the baw to pulp, telling him it just isn't worth it, let it go. I was prepared to break it up if the fisticuffs began.
To me, that's just something you do when people are acting fools and letting their emotions get the best of them...you step in and try to be a voice of reason. Yet every time I've been in this situation people are just standing around watching. WTF?

ETA: And teens, especially boys, are retards. If this was done for social media or as a stupid prank, there is another way of handling this without assaulting a kid.

And nobody has mentioned the kid got back up and confronted the psycho after he was thrown to the floor. Kudos to the kid. And the wife just sits there and let it all go down. I bet she was looking for an escape from him and just got it.
