That is terrifying. I know it happens, but I can’t imagine not realizing it came out. It’s kind of big. I accidentally pulled mine out, but I knew immediately. Definitely have to check the strings regularly to make sure you can confirm it’s still in place.

The strings on my 2nd one were left a little too long. While they were normally up around my cervix, I guess they shifted & got stuck with a tampon. Removed the tampon & managed to pull out the IUD, too. Fun stuff. Not the most pleasant feeling in the world.
