They are protecting the drug dealers, dumbfrick.
Dealers are violent with regards to collecting on debts and protecting their turf. And their clients tend to steal anything not nailed down.

Yeah. And did the coroner’s autopsy say how long he had been dead before being found?
So either the guy had been dead for weeks and no one noticed him where they were looking… or he was dead and they didn’t move the body there until afterwards and pretended like he just died that weekend.
The consensus is that his body was in the Ford St. house the whole time. I can tell you for a fact that I checked the exact spot he was found multiple times the day we searched and so did BRPD. He was not there. Being a former cop as I said, I know how to search for a person and add to it a friend at that so I was extremely thorough.
Drugs were being sold there and also at the dealer's house that was doubling as a church a couple streets over which was in one of the articles.

That’s when a private investigator came into my life but I told him I could not afford him. He said he wanted to offer his help to find my son.
That private investigator reached out to a contact with the NAACP and told him ‘Her oldest son is an FBI agent and he too wants his brother’s body so if we don’t have a body by Wednesday, the feds are coming in.’
That call was on a Saturday. Monday morning, Shawn’s body showed up at the Ford St. house in the driveway.
This still baffles me. Did the NAACP contact make a few phone calls to get the body dragged out of the house?

You aren’t seeing the big picture.
These gangs and drug dealers are like cancer. You can think you can isolate them and let them all kill each other off, but their impact on the community goes into every neighborhood whether it’s a gang hit, a druggie breaking into cars, thieves up and down Sherwood or Siegen, or a shootout on I 10.
The gangs need to be destroyed or at least humbled. Broome/Paul came in and eased up on the gangs. Evidence of that can be seen in the mueder ears, the over doses, and crime in general. Broome made it a racial issue when in reality it’s a public safety issue.

FYI, the "Works at - Self Employed" on Facebook ALWAYS suggests a drug dealer.

Thanks for the update OP. This story is insane. Hopefully someone at BRPD can do the right thing

What is more likely to happen is that the remaining good cops at BRPD bail as not to get caught in the crossfire.
I think shite’s about to get real.

But from my point of view, I don't care about drug dealers and users and who did what. How and when did he die and who did what? I don't care. Don't do drugs.
Drugs are the root of the issue. Dealing results in violence and poverty and rampant crime, which then spreads everywhere

Probably a high number.
IIRC, the whole Deedy Slaughter mess in Port Allen highlighted how her home was incorporated as a church.
Seems like a tax dodge to say that they live at Our Lady Who Didn’t Get The Pickle.

I prepared and packaged 8 fraud cases for BRPD related to an assistance program. Everything was there and was hand-delivered to them. One case ended up being outside of city limits, so it was turned over to the Sherriff's office.
The case the EBRSO handled was taken care of immediately. The subject was interviewed and booked within a few days of them receiving the report. It's currently moving through the court system.
As for the 7 others being handled by BRPD, I was told warrants were issued. No arrests have been made. All of these people are on social media, their addresses are available and they're not hard to find. It's been over a year now, and nothing.

If it’s not a homicide, everything else is out on the back burner for BRPD. You can hand them a case where a grand jury indictment is guaranteed and it won’t matter. Multiple posters have had interactions with BRPD and non have been positive regarding crime.

Well, per the story from Kiran, BRPD didn't even make the arrest of drug dealer. It was the sheriff's office.

I absolutely see the big picture. BRPD arrested the drug dealer, no? That's what I care about.
I don't care how or when or where the druggie overdosed, which is what this thread and the news stories are about. Dude drove to a place he shouldn't have been, bought drugs, took the drugs, and died. BRPD should go after the drug dealer....wait, they did.

I'll give you grace because you don't know the whole story because you weren't close to Shawn. He was not an addict, he was driven there and not his choice, and he was going through a lot including the death of his sister two weeks prior. Taking the drugs was his choice. No disputing that. Different people have different demons that respond in different ways depending on the circumstances no matter how long they have been repressed or you try to fight them.
BRPD ignored the case and EBRSO made the arrest. If you read the articles it's plain to see that and not sure how you missed it. Regardless, his death is a win in the sense that countless others will now potentially live because the dealer's operation was disrupted.
Appreciate a response after you take the time to read, and understand, all three articles.
