No tiger deserves to live in a cage at a shitty gas station.

That's because PETA had their eyes set on the bigger prize.. most people knew this and hated the fact that Tony was the low hanging fruit in another battle.. the owner was stuck in a bygone era and thankfully Tony can now rest peacefully

Other than the relatively decent habitat that the LSU tiger gets to live in, which still isn't as being out on the open range, I can not understand anyone who heralds the fact that animals are caged up for us to merely look at them. I don't even like dolphiins tanked up for silly dolphin shows.

Just let the animals live as they are. It really isn't asking too much.

PETA can kiss my arse, but so can the guy who owns the truck stop. That would have been one of the few times that organization would have gotten my support.

Relatively decent? Okay...

Great use of hyperbole to try and make your point.

Imagine that, sniffing gasoline and exhaust trucker fumes your whole life might cause cancer

Inspired by you, I'm flushing all the fish in my tank down the toilet. Hope they make it to the ocean.

I’m pretty sure a law was passed so he can’t get another tiger. I know they wanted to remove his but I think he was grandfathered in

Stopped there once for road beers on the way to BR. It was pretty sketchy. Before LSU built Mike's habitat his cage wasn't much better than what Tony had. At least Mike wasn't sniffing gas fumes all day.

So should we be upset that Ponchatoula had/has a big gator in a cage by the railroad tracks?

I don’t know where this stops. Pretty soon roach motels will be banned. And mouse traps too.

Maybe horseback riding is cruel to the poor horsey?

I thought this was going to be an article from a foreign country. I didnt think this sort of thing could have gone on in the USA last the 80s at the latest. That's fricked up Louisiana

What I find awesome is that everyone ignores that at one point tiger truck stop actually was the most successful tiger breeding program...in the world.

When I was 3 or 4, I can remember playing with baby tiger cubs behind the counter.

Certainly not an ideal scenario for big cats, but tony couldn't really leave once he was by himself there. Doubt he would have worked in a sanctuary or zoo.

Well that picture changes the narrative just a bit.

The picture from the WBRZ page of Tony was for max effect.
