Sean Pennison just turned himself in. That makes five of the ten.

Is it just me or do all these "frat stars" look like nerdy d-bags?

I assume these guys go straight to protective custody until they post bond. They wouldn't last a hot minute in gen pop from the looks of them.

Is "hazing" a crime under the law?
Posted on 10/11/17 at 10:11 am to TigersSEC2010
Yes, I truly had no idea hazing was a criminal, legal issue. I thought it was just a school disciplinary issue.

Damn, it would really suck being one those kids' dad going to the police station with them.
Not sure that those are dads but if they are, they for sure shouldn't have the kid show up in shorts and tee shirt and or show up that way their own self...

Why wouldn't BRPD arrest them?
Posted on 10/11/17 at 10:14 am to TheCaterpillar
It has to do with the power imbalance . The same as if a Head Coach ran a guy to death. At any time the player could have quit , but the Court recognizes the power imbalance involved and the additional responsibility that is inherent to that power imbalance.
.
And that’s without even considering all the other culpability that demonstrates they knew the risk- the fact that they were drinking illegally, the fact that they broke every University rule ( proof of negligence) surrounding drinking alcohol, etc.

Unless his girlfriend is a Theta or DG, there was a 0% chance of them fricking anybody.

Happened on campus. LSUPD's jurisdiction.
Fun fact, LSUPD has statewide arrest authority. If you commit a crime they want you for, they can go and get you once you leave campus and return to South Arkansas, East Texas, West Mississippi or Alexandria, Louisiana. BRPD can't.

The crime began and occurred on LSU's campus, leaving it squarely in LSU's jurisdiction.
