Only reason they may bring charges is if they are afraid of them mob
AG Cameron is pretty much McConnell's guy (he clerked for him) and was one of the Trump's list of candidates for the Supreme Court opening.
If they level any kind of charges it won't be to "appease the mob".

It was disputed enough by multiple neighbors that the charges have been dropped on Walker. As you said, one declared they heard it. Others did not.
Were none of the officers wearing a body cam?

Police Chief speaking now....it's about to go down

State on lockdown.
Here's a guess. Rioting and looting will occur regardless of outcome.

I can't remember if none of them had one, or if they just weren't on at the time. Either way, there's no footage of the incident.
Based on what I've read of the case, I don't think there's enough there to indict the officers. I do think the case was completely bungled as far as obtaining the warrant and how it was carried out. It's a shitty situation where improvements could be made to prevent it happening again, but likely nothing changes.

i'm just dropping by to use this opportunity to explain structural inequality/issues
these cops are likely going to get off
the reason for that is a structural issue, where our criminal laws are so screwed up from the very bottom where THIS type of search and THIS type of behavior from LEO is legal. that's a structural issue
within the terrible structure of our legal system, the cops likely acted legally. that's an acute/direct issue

9pm-6:30 am curfew in Louisville. Doesn't apply to worship, people going to work, or people seeking medical attention.

another way of saying what i was trying to in my post
in a sane, fair, and just system, these cops would be facing criminal charges. maybe not for murder, but for some of their behavior

there was just 2 officials on Fox News giving a presser and they look very worried and scared...they were trying to send a message to calm people down.
I dont like the looks of this.....it's going to be a long night, nights, weeks in a lot of places.

So I assume there was no body cam footage?
Well, that's a bit disputed at the moment. We're told there wasn't and its entirely plausible that Officer James' didn't have his on (officers with their cameras turned off during some of the rioting was the final nail in the coffin for the former Chief). Initially we were told that no one had on body cams but pics released from the case seem to indicate that's not true.
quote:
A body camera is mounted on Officer Anthony James' right shoulder, according to photos taken of the shooting scene by Louisville Metro Police investigators after the early-morning raid March 13.
The photos, obtained by WDRB News, raise questions about previous statements made by former Chief Steve Conrad and Mayor Greg Fischer that no footage exists from the unit that raided Taylor's apartment, as they do not wear body cameras.
quote:
In the hours immediately after the shooting, Conrad said there were no cameras on or being worn during the raid.
“This incident was related to the execution of a search warrant by members of our Criminal Interdiction Division and some of the officers assigned to this division do not wear body-worn video systems," he said.

These officers are 100 percent getting off. It’s not going to be pretty in the aftermath.

hey did it on a workday when there's two days of work on either side to give a couple of days to calm down before everyone's off for the weekend and can riot when they're not at work.

wait why is the AG announcing a verdict of guilty or innocent?
It's not guilt or innocence, but whether or not charges will be filed against the cop who shot Ms. Taylor.

Messaged my KY relatives to hold onto their butts but I really doubt this gets limited to KY

You actually said it better than I did. The case is an indictment on the CJ system as a whole, rather than the individual officers. Breonna Taylor lost her life through no fault of her own, in her own residence, at the hands of police executing a flimsy warrant. And likely nobody will ever be held accountable for that, and chances are it will happen to someone else at some point in the future.

I think there's a possibility Hankinson catches a charge. There's some suggestion he didn't follow procedure when he unloaded like he did. He's also already been removed from the department as a result of that action (the FOP is fighting his removal).
Of course, Hankinson may end up in some deeper shite as he was apparently sexually assaulting girls he offered to "drive home" from bars in the East End (predominently white, mid to upper class area). I wouldn't be surprised to see a civil suit pop up from that at the very least. Those complaints were "lost" in his file, which is part of the reason Taylor's family demanding the new reporting system be re-installed with LMPD.
