I second the owlet recommendation. Great peace of mind. With the app, I can view my son’s heart rate and oxygen level from my phone. Don’t have to hover over the bassinet to see if he is breathing. And it will alarm if it becomes displaced or if the two forementioned vitals drop outside normal levels.

The nights can be long but the years pass far too quickly.
Advice: Date nights with your wife and do same with your daughter, you WILL be her male role model

mine does sleep like a champ and loves his bed. Almost two and sleeps 11+ hours at night and will take two hour naps. I really hope that continues.
Mine sleeps through the night really well. Probably 12 hours and rarely wakes up. He did that early on. Almost two as well but we've dropped the morning nap. Now that we do only one nap he will sleep for at least an hour and often sleeps for two hours. When we did the morning nap he would only sleep for like 10 minutes for both naps. So much better now.

Definitely goes fast. My daughter is two now and it seems like yesterday I could hold her in my arms. Soak it up! Laugh when you want to cry and take lots of pics.

This is our first, a baby girl, any last minute advice for a new Dad?
Buy lots of ammo
Get used to never having any money
Get used to never having any quiet time
Get used to being wrapped around her finger

Last minute parent advice?
Stay far, far away from the OT for this and you'll be fine.
ETA: Congrats and best wishes though- enjoy every minute!

Get as much sleep as you can.
You will be sleep deprived for the next year or so...
