Am I understanding it correctly that the FBI has turned this case over to Dog the Bounty Hunter?

False. The case was not turned over by the FBI. Dog forcibly commandeered the case in order to catch this murderous YouTube hiker.

Neither. If they get close he'll off himself.

I think the guy is dead. It's almost impossible to go off the grid without a trace.

My odds would be

1. Random citizen, like a gas station attendant
2. Relative
3. LEO
4. Dog

FBI won't stand a chance. Haven't done anything since the Boston Bombing.

Eh, it’s easier than you think. Remember those two guys who broke out of prison in NY about 5 years ago? At least one of them was missing for almost a month. He had been hiding in the woods too. If you don’t have a cell phone tracking your location and don’t use things like credit cards, you could go off the grid

But he had at least 3-4 days before they were even trying to trace him. I think he got out of the country.

They would have found some evidence in the reserve by now if he died there. Where's the body? Where's his bag?
If he's dead somewhere else, why haven't they found a body? It's been over 2 weeks now.

He's not living off the grid, this isnt a TV show like Naked and Afraid or Survivor.....he's either dead or hiding in plain sight and someone is helping him

He filled his bag with rocks/sand and went into the water and will not surface for a long time if ever.

Not in a sailboat, if he has a boat he could disappear on the oceans and pull into ports get supplies and move on.

A sheriff in NC is saying that they are getting reports of tons of sightings of BL on the Appalachian trail.

Why doesn't somebody grab his candy arse, and then call LEO's and report on where to come get him?

Right, the key is to have cash. If you have cash and aren't carrying a cellphone, it wouldn't be too hard for a generic looking person to go off of the grid, especially with the whole mask thing going on now.

I don't think anyone wants to risk their safety trying to do such a thing.

Is there a reward? Is he wanted dead or alive?

Put a big enough bounty on his head and I bet he'd be caught in less that 48 hours.....they should call the Cajun Navy to find his arse
