Didn't your parents ever say to you "boy I brought you into this world, I'll take you out of it too".
Careful, some ITT might charge your parents for attempted murder.

Edit: I don't have the timeline down. Those people who are knowledgeable about the case: When did BL hire his lawyer, before or after the parents filed the missing persons report?
From what I understand, the lawyer, or at least the initial lawyer, was a family friend who specializes in real estate law not criminal. So they might have called him as soon as they heard she was missing.

perhaps they already said their permanent goodbyes before he went to the swamp...
That may well be the case and could be why they waited several days to report him "missing". I would have a hard time cooperating with my child's suicide, though. I couldn't do it even under these circumstances. Could you?

Whoever the latest lawyer to issue a statement is is a troll

I'm more interested in how the legal ownership situation changes if they are both living in the van. At what point does it become a shared domicile? And how would his rights regarding it change?
After googling, there seems to be an "RV Residency" concept.
Note: this is not legal advice.

I did not know that it was a family friend. If true, makes more sense why they would do it right away b

She wouldn't even drive the van
Is there a link for this? I don’t remember if she says this or he does.
Who drives it away from the incident with the cops in Moab.

She clearly said she doesn’t drive the van

Also, I went back last night trying to go through everything again and came across a post on his Instagram of him at one of their campsites with a couple of rock totems stacked around their campsite
Something seemed off about that cross make out of rocks that was discovered yesterday at the site. A) they seemed like they weren’t JUST placed there, they seemed to be dug into the dirt somewhat. And B) that doesn’t seem like something the FBI would do as they wrapped up the body removal.
I think BL made the rock cross.

She clearly says that but she also clearly is driving the van in the YouTube video she posted and didn’t seem to be nervous driving down the mountain road.

I'm going to debunk this "domicile" idea. He drove the van home to "live" with his parents, in a house. If he stayed in the van out west living in it, I'd consider it.
Kinda hard to claim that now IMO when you drive 2377 miles home to mommy.

I remember at the end of the video she says she ‘usually’ doesn’t drive the van - but I didn’t want to watch the whole video again to see if she says something else regarding that - thought someone might know

If that’s all he said then they don’t know where he is and you would think they would be asking for him to come home?
Or again like I said maybe lawyer has them keeping quiet. Who the heck knows.
I do not think you can draw any conclusions based on what they are not saying or doing. So her family accused his parents of knowing something and everyone has run with it. His parents are smart enough to keep their mouths shut and get a lawyer. This thing has reached media feeding frenzy status, best thing to do is hunker down and keep your mouth shut.

It is looking more and more like he is in that reserve somewhere, most likely dead now.
I read where the reserve has several cameras out to monitor wildlife. My guess is one of them captured a photo of him and they turned it over to authorities. Lots of attention in that area now.

I'm speaking strictly to any legal rights he may have to that van.
So far, people have made it a clear cut, black and white issue. I'm only saying that ownership of that van is likely not as simple as people are trying to make it out to be.
ETA: I love the immediate downvotes in this thread with no consideration given to the actual content of the post. It is very telling.

That isn't the van she's driving in the video. It's some other car from I guess a previous trip.
Look at the window in that still frame you posted then look at the window of the van. The van has a different window with a divider.

Also..cell tower pings would have placed them in that location without a random dashcam video
You don't understand the area, there is no signal put that way so how can the cell phone ping the tower?

It became a criminal case as soon as he stole her van. She could not possibly have given him permission to drive it after he killed her.
I suppose he could make the argument that he was returning the van to her place of residence, since she was unable to. After all, she did legally reside at the same house in Florida. I think a DA would be hard pressed to get an indictment on car theft when he parked the van at her home.

There also doesn't seem to be much headroom in that pic where she his driving.
