He is an elected official and a family medicine doctor. He’s apparently in his seventies now.
So you think a guy thats 70 and been doing it for 35 years doesn’t have the experience that a 35 year old pathologist would have?

I posted this earlier to the LE guy but didn’t get any feedback. In genuinely curious. Might be interesting/new to talk about.
In your opinion or from what you’ve seen before, how do you think he is staying abreast of the news, while trying to remain unseen (physically and technologically)?

Saying that, why the hell wouldn't it go to a state crime lab. That is how it is done in rural WI as I understand. Small counties are not going to have a pathologist.
The coroner/ME systems vary drastically from state to state. Wyoming is so large and the population is so small, that this type of service is a logistical nightmare. These systems are much more efficient in high density population centers.

I would think that if he’s alive and trying to keep up with the story he would have a burner smart phone. However, it’s entirely possible that he’s still using the iPhone attached to his parent’s family plan

Putting aside the fact that 70 year olds often tend to be out of date, how do you know that he's been doing it for 35 years?

Has he been performing autopsies for 35 years? How many does he perform per year? I think that a 35 year old pathologist could have more experience than a family medicine doctor in regards to autopsies, depending on the situation. An autopsy done 20 years ago, is irrelevant today, medicine has advanced a ton in recent years.

i have to assume as the county coroner and an MD he probably performs all of the autopsies in his jurisdiction, however few that may be.

Like I said, small rural counties in WI send crime scene material, and bodies, to the state crime lab.
WY has one.

It's been less than a week since LEO reported he was missing and he could easily be hanging out in plain sight wearing a hat, a mask, and some sunglasses. This is literally the perfect time for someone like him to be able to get around without people noticing him due to covid and masks.

Did they release a time of death?

And forensic autopsies are not listed as a provided service.

71 people a year go missing in the Grand Tetons? Does that strike anyone else as a huge number?

In the same area that Gabby Petito disappeared, 710 indigenous people— mostly girls—disappeared between the years of 2011 and 2020 but their stories didn’t lead news cycles, internet sleuths didn’t clog Instagram and Twitter trying to solve the mystery of their disappearances.

I have followed this case very close but I have seemed to miss the water bottle reference. Can someone explain exactly what BL said?
Posted on 9/21/21 at 9:37 pm to UndercoverBryologist
It's real vague on the nuts and bolts. Lots of family kidnappings, likely.

Anyone care that they caught Laundrie in Sarasota?

Yeah, WTF is up with those numbers. Surely, that isn't true? Maybe they mean they went missing for like a day and then were found?
