If they're talking to LEO through a lawyer then the lawyer wouldn't be having them lie in the first place.

No one said the lawyer told them to lie.

Um. What proof is there that he is responsible for the death if it’s her body?
People here have been screaming for his head from day one.
With zero evidence anything nefarious had even happened.
Bunch of white knights up in here.

Him causing her death is the most likely outcome.

If it is her body , I believe a family member would have to identify the body before they can release any information .

Can’t identify something decomposed / eaten by animals.

shite, I should have been more involved in this. Right up my alley, but I guess my mourning of Norm all week has distracted me.

It’s all circumstantial, but c’mon, the boyfriend has acted guilty from the start, never helped.. pretty rational of all those “White Nights”, even if wrong

She disappeared.
The boyfriend returned all the way home in the van.
He said nothing to anyone of her disappearance for several days.
He lawyered up immediately and said nothing.
He has now disappeared.
He’s either directly responsible for her death or contributed.

Based on what? I don’t think you can put odds on it any which way.
He could have killed her
She could have killed her self
She could have accidentally killed her self
He could have accidentally killed her
Now if she is dead, I think odds are good that he KNOWS about it but not responsible for it.

Facts. Well laid out.

Is the chance he’s innocent really that small?
Could be they broke up on the trip, she said she was going home by herself. He didn’t feel the need to contact her family about her business now that she had left him.
When it became a disappearance, he did pretty much what every smart person should do and lawyered up. And he hasn’t said anything because his lawyer has advised him not to make statements that could easily be twisted to suit the prosecutor’s case.
Just a hypothetical scenario, but is it really that unlikely?

Could just be an update about her if they are calling it a day?
Not with this kind of timing. They set it with enough time to inform the parents. It is her.

The facts of the case and his sketchy behavior.

If it were June guy's body then, would they not also have a similar timeline trying to inform his family?

It’s just as likely that he didn’t cause it but knows about it based on all we know.
