I’d imagine that’s true for a lot of these YouTube personalities / influencer types

Its a missing person case, it's a bit different. If I were the father, I would do everything in my power to get the information I needed. I understand his rights, but he's the last person to see the girl alive, and I would be livid

Well, yeah. Frustration and emotion collide. 2 sets of parents with the same root goal. The attorneys in the middle. I bet many pops like you and me wouldn't be in Florida at all. The place to be is in Wyoming.

At the very least, she almost assuredly has generalized anxiety disorder. Normal people don't work themselves up so badly they violently attack their partners over nothing.

If the guy was super controlling and mentally and/or physically abusive its possible she was freaking out b/c she was trying to cover for him the way a battered wife will blame herself and deny the husband did anything when the cops show up asking why she's bruised up after neighbors reported a massive fight.

There's one person who has the answers. That's where my focus would be.

Except he was the one with scratches on his face and arms, not her.

Are we sure the girls family didn’t get to him and we just don’t know it?

Not sure if this has been linked. It does appear the van door was open and someone pulled it closed from the inside as the Red White and Bethune couple approached.

Went watch it on YouTube again in HD and definitely looks like it was cracked open and someone closed it.

Looking back at the original video, yeah, it's definitely visible there too. Someone closed the van's back door. Unsurprising since there were flip-flops right there. That proves there was some activity in the van at that time. And with all of the people in the area, and evidence someone was recently using flip-flops, I kinda doubt she would have been dead yet at this time.

Sure but a battered wife can sometimes fight back too giving the abuser the out to claim he did nothing wrong. It's hard to judge what their relationship was off the one police interaction w/o further investigation. It's not like those cops went all out trying to get to the bottom of things.

While I'm not saying it's 100% the case that he was already abusing her in some way his actions after the police stop are a massive red flag. I know some here keep waiving the "a lawyer would tell you don't say shite to the cops flag" but he flat out did not behave in a way that shows he has any true concern for her. An innocent person who cares about their partner is extremely unlikely to dump out of a road trip taking their vehicle halfway across the country w/o telling anyone they've run off/vanished or making any effort to find them.

He did say there is family in WY. The reporter asked why they went to Montana and he corrected them saying they were in WY.

Maybe the Dad couldn't make it to WY and was doing what he could in FL or they decided to split their efforts and try to get some info from the Laundries while the rest looked in WY and he's headed there later.

And what leads you to believe she might be a "battered wife"?

With the Florida license plate on that door the people videoing might not even have taken note had the door not been closed.

They noticed the Florida plates and because they once lived in Florida they were going to stop by and say hi to some strangers they didn't know.
