Some things are just unexplainable. The blackout drunk mixed with whatever emotions he had that night mixed with whatever situation happened with the 60 year old man led to a perfect storm of shite.

That's what I'm getting at. He beats a guy to death kicking him twice in the head then "runs" up the stairs to the top floor of a parking garage... a short time later the cop finds him and he can barely stand?
Seems strange a guy could beat someone to death and run up stairs while at the same time not being able to stand up without leaning against a car.

You never worked in a bar?
It’s very common for this sequence to happen.

The officer also said Ward ran from the scene up to the top of the parking garage, so he apparently had some level of motor skills and whatnot.

Maybe Tubby was out of breath.

He had no. Place left to run. Can't blame him for trying. I want to know what was in those text messages tho.

I am not sure it will matter greatly, but I will imagine the defense might harp on it

Parking garage footage may look like that drunk santa

where are people reading "he was so drunk he could barely stand" ?
all I see is "highly intoxicated"
all I see is "highly intoxicated"

"Officer Wise immediately observed the subject to be highly intoxicated, exhibited by a strong odor of alcohol, as well as difficulty standing or walking,

They'll look for whatever edge they can get. Not sure if they'll argue he wasn't the attacker, considering he was identified by two witnesses, but who knows?

The thing is we have no clue who those witnesses are right now. They maybe people that arent very credible to a jury

Really late to comment in this thread but have something to add..
I do not know this guy at all (might have met him once or twice at the bar) but a friend of mine said that he knew him and played basketball at the Urec with him a bunch. He said "crazy angry issues" when he was talking about it in our groupme

He wore himself out running up the stairs.....ole boy looks like he's put on a few lb's...I doubt he's in the best of shape.
Havent you ever been drunk as frick but functional one minute...then kicked someone in the head a few time, ran up a few flights of stairs, you then all of a sudden hit a wall and can barely stand?
That shite will take a lot out of you
