It's a crazy scene. I couldn't figure out what had happened as I just got back to my condo around 9pm. I went out on the balcony and all of this going on. Prayers for all involved.
**Someone staying next to me said it may have been a chopper.

With the military bases in that area, the response should be adequate. Prayer for all involved.

2 choppers with spotlights searching about 1/2 off the coast. Another police boat totaling 7 circling an area also. Sad to say the least

Do you have a condo on the beach, in Destin, FL?

There is a small General Aviation airport right on the strip in Destin. Likely, the pilot was banking to for a VFR approach but lost speed or altitude.
Sad.
Sad.

Any chance you boys getting any clues who this might be? I know a bunch of pilots headed out there and back from this area. Not good.

Was the plane towing a banner advertising Cash's drink specials?
