Im in Desoto Co, and our mayor sent out an email to our aldermen this past Sunday stating it was going to be released on Monday and to avoid Memphis at all costs. I worked on Shelby Dr until Covid forced me to work from home, and I couldn't have been happier. I never cross those railroad tracks now unless I absolutely have to.

I just hope someone protects the ducks. Do they have bodyguards?

I guess if the cops were getting off, I could see the justification for riots, but if they're getting charged with murder, that means the system in place is working.
Its never about justice. Its about getting free stuff.

Supposedly there's a serial killer in Westwood as well thats not being taken seriously. Shooting people then burning the bodies in trash cans.
Westwood is the most country arse place to ever exist inside city limits.

Are they waiting until Friday afternoon to release it?

That would be the worst time, right? Better to release on early Monday AM?

Because the rioters will be at work?

Hope you don't mean the north 40 loop!
269. I haven't been on 40 yet, but the wife and I refer to the drivers on 55 and 240 as "kamikaze drivers" (because they drive like they know they are going to die due to wrecking eventually, so they are determined to take out as many other drivers as possible when they go).

Releasing the footage on MLK day in Memphis probably was not ideal.

Can someone get an early start on this and post a link to all the live webcams around the city? Id hate to miss anymore peaceful riots.

The ignorance in this thread regarding Memphis is amazing....any one of you could turn on a Grizzlies or Tigers game several times a week and see 15k downtown at the games after walking the streets to restaurants and or hotels, some areas of the city or shite, but NOLA is much worse...you don't have street thugs in Memphis right off the entertainment district fricking with people like you do in that shithole
However, if there was a city vs city gang war I'd pick Memphis

Are you bragging because Memphis isn’t as big of a shithole as New Orleans? Have some self respect.

Most of the "peaceful protesting" that occurred in the summer of 2020 took place even after Derek Chauvin was charged with murder.

I’d take the I-10 shooters in NO over Memphis.

You live in Hernando and don't know you're 20 miles of mostly undeveloped land from the southern most boarder of Memphis with several towns in between?
Several? I can only assume autocorrect changed Southaven to several.

No - glass house shite...every major city in the south is the same...go to Mobile, Jackson, Atlanta, Birmingham, Baton Rouge, etc...all have shite crime...then go up the MS River..St.Louis, Chicago- if you live in some small town with no fortune 500 businesses, big colleges, pro sports and little crime - then good for you

The last Grizzlies game I went to, two people were murdered on Beale St. I'm not saying every part of Memphis is bad. It definitely has its nice parts, they just aren't close to me.
Also this.

I believe Memphis has three Fortune 500 companies, but your point is valid

I'm calling BS that there were 2 murders during a Grizz game...last one I see that happened was 2 a.m. by a kid from MS in April
