Universal Orlando Proposes to Reopen Theme Parks Early June

Disney is about to frick over a lot of people. They are holding out announcing an opening date to see what shakes out with the NBA deal. If they sit here an cancel reservation after reservation then allow the NBA to set up shop there for 2-3 months they are going to get some serious shite.

I look at the NBA deal as them knowing they need to re-open at lower capacity and they offset the low amount of people in parks/resorts with the NBA deal until it carries them into higher capacity allowances.

Yea. I will pass being in that Florida heat waiting 3 hours for a ride with a fricking mask on and a bunch of Karen’s making sure everyone is following the rules.

I think that may be more of a way to limit the crowd the first few weeks of their opening too.

There is absolutely no way I would go to Universal or Disney right now. Not that I'm scared... but I'm not willing to pay those prices to have to walk around with a mask, not have character meet and greets, potentially not be able to get into a park, have lines spread out into the heat, etc.
Now if I had an annual pass and could go whenever for a few hours here and there, sure.
As far as the NBA thing, I would imagine they are going to keep to themselves. You figure maybe 30 rooms per team, so that's 900 rooms, maybe another 300 for league use, so 1200 roooms.
Animal Kingdom Lodge has 1293 rooms. Book everyone in there.

i can tell you now, they won't enforce it when you're walking from ride to ride
it'll be the type of thing when you enter a queue they'll make you put it on or deny you entry to the ride
won't be as bad as you think
none the less, it will be a much castrated experience, but crowds will be at a minimum, there will be a sweet spot in there where they'll start reducing restrictions and crowds won't have picked up yet probably late summer
