Hope she sues and wins. Its time for this to stop and no one can be the judge of what is quantifiable of "emotional support". Either all animals are or none are, you can't discriminate.

I’d just like to know what anybody in that picture not looking at the peacock in an airport terminal found more interesting than a peacock in an airport terminal.

Once saw an apparently healthy woman with both a pig and a parrot as comfort animals. Pig looked to be about 40 lbs. and parrot rode on her shoulder. Not on my flight but saw them board.

Apparently there are laws (not a lawyer...just what ive read in diff places) that you can't ask someone on the spot to prove that their animal is a support animal.

That's the whole point of labeling them as support animals. They get to skip these types of fees. What started of as something legitimate (yes I'm sure there are veterans or others out there who suffer from pretty severe trauma and having a pet with them helps alleviate that) has turned into shite tons of people essentially defrauding the system and trying to get around no pet/pay for pet policies. Or it's also people who really don't have the need for these animals but they've convinced themselves they do and we end up where we are today. With this type of ridiculousness.

If you need “emotional support” to fly then you don’t need to be fricking flying in the first place. This is just a loophole people expose to ship their animals for free. This girl I know does it with her dog.

I would be curious to see how many people, who have been told they are not able to bring a support animal, still went on their flight.. In other words, I bet they still went on their flight, despite not having their "support animal".
It seems like the airlines would require a dog or.... A god damn peacock.. to have a certain type of certification.. Like the dogs blind people use. And a "support animal" doesn't seem like people NEED. As if.. They could use support, but they will make it if they don't have it.. It should be a "trauma animal" and like I said, should have a certain certification that says "this animal is appropriately trained to serve as this person's ____________".. Other than that, people who want to keep their animals with them during a flight has no sense of common courtesy.
That's what gets me about the whole thing. Think about the people you will sit by on the plane and before doing something, ask yourself if you would like it if the other people around you, were doing the things you are doing..

What I really don't understand is how a peacock fits itself into the cabin. It's not like a dog where it's about seat size (usually) and can be trained on how to behave. Does a peacock even have that level of intelligence or will it just do whatever the frick it wants whenever it wants to?
