No.
A pilot told me directly since I was part of the crew and needed the information to brief the rest of the crew and come up with an action plan to accomplish the original mission.
Not a commercial flight, so some of your assumptions are likely off the mark.

With the ground incidents involving the major carriers lately I'm more than happy to be flying 40,000+ feet up above their crap.

I can promise you that you aren’t flying 40k feet above commercial air traffic. What a dumbass

Damn, imagine if instead of the windscreen it hit a wing or vertical stabilizer.

Pjs fly at 40k where most commercial is 30-35k. I don't think he meant 40k above the 30k.

So if you have flown on one of the two Delta 747s they had in their fleet after the Northwest merged….it has been to Midway island. LOL

I’m pretty sure that was a 747-400 from Hawaii, not LAX. At the time of the merger and for many years after there were 16 aircraft in service, not 2. There were a few 747-200s still around but those were primarily used for charter and not scheduled service. (I believe the Saints used one to go from Charlotte to London in the Payton era)
Midway Atoll, Henderson Field is often used for a diversion airport since there’s really not else much around. Ironically, there are so many birds that roost there chances are very high you will get a bird strike if you do need to divert there.
Windshield cracks are not common and usually (and thankfully) only 1 of the 3 panes/layers cracks.

Reporting is "space junk" which sounds like a satellite piece to me.

While this had zero to do with Boeing considering their recent history the odds are high.

I'd much rather take a strike in a Boeing than in a scarebus

Right. I'm just saying with how things have been going for Boeing (even stuff out of their control) the odds of something like that happening to them is high.

You just know that every time the news reports about an aircraft incident they are crossing their fingers hoping its an Airbus.

given the number of jets in the sky at any given time I'm surprised more of this doesn't make it to social media
