How do you know this guy is a guy who was on a particular bus a week ago?
Seems like a big leap.
And have we discussed about the 2 pairs of images seem to show different backpacks?

Much of the revenue — $232 billion — came from insurance premiums.
This is what so many people miss. This is where the bulk of revenue from any insurance provider comes from.

Sure, managing costs is always part of that but UHC isn't the largest healthcare provider in the world because they deny coverage or claims. They're the largest healthcare provider in the world because they insure the most lives and receive the most in premiums. This allows them leveraging power in many places with competitive reimbursement rates.

Locally here, it's the reverse of say Ochsner. My daughter had about 10 weeks of PT from a running injury and went to Ochsner PT for a month since we went to an Ochsner Ortho who is a friend of mine. The cost, $267/visit. Because they only bill PT monthly we didn't even catch it until a month in and then we switched her to another PT clinic where our out of pocket cost was $70/visit.

Some of that was how Ochsner billed it (in 4 x increments of 15 minutes) but the vast majority was simply due to what their contracted rate was compared to other PT's in the area.

Morale of the story...the bigger you are, the more power you have to leverage lucrative agreements.

Is that like being hyper focused on one charts source while ignoring the other mountains of evidence against your beloved company?

A Clark County, Nevada, jury agreed with TeamHealth that United engaged in unfair reimbursement practices by deliberately failing to pay frontline emergency room doctors adequately for care provided to patients. The jury assessed about $60 million in punitive damages against UnitedHealthcare, finding it was guilty of fraud and malice in its conduct.

But the chart is wrong he screams.

They likely went back through the camera tapes of busy stop arrivals on the day he arrived at the hostel. New recognition technology made it quick to narrow down.

I’m guessing his mask was still on at the bus station and the bus itself had no cameras.

They don’t know where he hopped on the bus either. It departed from Atlanta but that doesn’t mean he got on it there. There are numerous stops along the way. They’re probably searching for cameras along the stops all along the bus route currently to see if they can spot him.

1) It's been proven to be inaccurate...

2) Your post doesn't support the claim that UHC denies 1/3 of it's claim. Companies get sued all the time. Hospitals too...

People belive anything they see, from any source.

The media has dumbed us down.

They are the biggest name in the game and their success/growth depends upon denying people necessary medical care.

This is true for all publicly traded insurance companies, which most are. But people cream themselves over a perceived free market for everything, so here we are. If your insurance company has an obligation to shareholders and patients, we all know who gets stiffed first...

It's reassuring to know some wall street guys are banking from creating those "death panels" people were so afraid of.

Doesn’t sound like capitalism at all to me.

Its crony capitalism, which is anti free market.

We need competitive markets where you can shop your own policies.

So if you aren't defending insurance companies, you're rooting for the killer to get away?

This board was (rightfully) hammering the UK's "death panels" a few years ago and now some of the same people are saying "ok bro but how will the insurance companies stay in business if they pay for everything your doctor says you need"

I’m wondering what the coverage/opinions be if it was a Pro-lifer killing an abortionist.

Its a populist thing. Back in the 30s American outlaws and bankrobbers were very popular with the poor.

Poor folks who dont try are the ones who cheer on homicidal maniacs.
