where's on your list?

I guess I'd have to give it to New York, but I think it's less of a "people being unfriendly" thing and more of a "it's busy and crowded and people have shite to do" thing.
If you're from a small town and go to a major city like New York, you'll probably interpret people there as rude because they live life at a completely different pace.
I've met friendly and unfriendly people everywhere I've ever traveled.

Seattle is really bad.

Seattle. People there just seem like they're all pissed off at the entire world for some reason. That's a miserable segment of the population there. I had to pay $.10 extra for ketchup at a burger place there. Not for each extra condiment but for ANY condiment. Oh, you want something to dip those fries into? That's gonna cost you.
frick those people and frick that entire city.
ETA: The Funnie Five beat me to it. At least I'm not the only one with that opinion!

Anywhere populated by Yanks. Say what you will about the south but southern hospitality is alive and well.

They call it the Seattle Freeze
I guess its a combination of it raining all the time and never seeing the sun 9 months a year plus the typical liberal left wing angst of being mad at everything possible. Being mad at Amazon, being mad at cost of living, being mad at income inequality, being mad at corporations, etc.

Right. Imagine if he had to pay for each of those condiments. He would've told them to frick off like I should have in Seattle. Then he would've died in that snow all because Taco Bell wanted extra money for those condiments. Taco Bell is the real hero there.

In general, I've been around plenty of friendly people in California cities.
