If lightning strikes next to you, should you hear the thunderclap?

STG this happened to me and I never heard the thunderclap.

A cursory glance at my shirt pockets and the inside of my washer and dryer at home should lead you to the correct conclusion regarding this mystery.

When did we stop pulling off to the shoulder after a fender-bender and start treating every minor bump like a four-lane hostage situation?

I don’t get it. It’s rude and inconsiderate to hundreds of other people. I do not care how much an accident inconveniences you and the person you got into an accident with.

Way to make a joke about our Lord and savior when he was being brutally tortured/beaten and hung on a cross for your sins and saving you from an eternal hell. You need to ask for forgiveness but you look at it all as joke so…

We know that Jesus Christ wept but why does the Bible never specifically mention that he laughed? Why was that not important enough to mention?

Because he wept for the inorganic areas of our societies when no one else would. And for those to laugh at - are natural

Why is it considered especially distasteful and rude for women to fart? (More so than men)

Mine at the moment: In all of human history, who created the first chair or chair type object and what was it like?

And related follow-up: Where and when did that happen?

Yours?

Are you essentially asking when in human history did someone sit down on something other than flat ground?

I'd have to imagine it was at some point in time when someone sat on a rock and thought "this is nice."

When a big rig breaks down on I-10 in Baton Rouge, why isn't a heavy-duty wrecker contacted immediately instead of waiting 5 hours for their contracted wrecker to arrive from Lake Charles?

I never wear the same shirt more than once without putting it in the wash machine, but why will I wear the same hat all summer and sweat through it 50 times without washing it?

Because 99% of hats lose their shape/dexterity after just 1 wash. I'll wear a hat for how ever many months I can and then go buy a new one. I've tried washing them, they come out looking and fitting like shite.

I believe that is due more to the advertising than the engineering.
