Nope. Probably because after researching the only ones using a Type 88 with tubular mags are Fat Jung Un's super special troops. It's not like they would be widely known about with such a small user group.

I'm just saying that I knew they weren't grenade launchers or fake grenade launchers when I saw them and originally thought they were PP-19s (I WAS WRONG). I knew they were helical mags like the PP-19 uses (I was wrong about them being PP-19s though).

That was the post that caused most of the backlash.

And I found the fact the article said they were "grenade launchers" hilarious since they clearly were not grenade launchers. And since North Korea has a habit of passing off fake weapons (remember the photo shopped pics of their armed forces we've all seen), I found the idea of them trying to pass off clearly fake "grenade launchers" totally plausible.

As you can see, on an AK, the gas tube is one of it's most easily recognizable features.

ETA: all of NK's shite is made for visuals. They took their variant of the AK-47/74 and put that clip on it so that it looks like a special forces-type sub machine gun. Therefore, a knockoff of the PP-19.

1. None of the weapons we're discussing in this thread utilize a "clip". They're all magazine fed. If we're going to nit pick, let's nit pick.

2. I admitted I was wrong about NK trying to pass them off as grenade launchers. But you still can't admit you were wrong when you claimed the Type 88 was a "knockoff" of the PP-19. You're still trying to argue that Type 88 is a knock-off of the PP-19 despite the fact the Type 88 has been around since the 1980s while the PP-19 was introduced in the late 1990s. What you're arguing is like saying the Corvette (introduced in 1953)is a knock off of the Mustang (introduced in 1964).

But yet you think I'm the insufferable one.
