The thing a lot of people won't admit or don't know is when you drink ice cold beer you aren't tasting the beer which is perfect for the mass-produced domestic pilsners.
When a beer is cold it doesn't let the aromatics vaporize it is like a Cabernet served cold and without breathing. The harsh reality is if you do not like the taste of warm beer you don't like the taste of beer. Obviously, there is nothing wrong with not liking the taste and cheap domestic beer is indeed less of an affront to the senses when just short of freezing.

Room temp English beer is very tasty. It's brewed to drink at that temp. It's nothing like trying to choke down a luke warm American lager.

How do all you beer snobs know what piss tastes like? I always see the IPA crowd comparing "regular" beer to piss.

It's gotta be either ice cold or piping hot (hot cocoa, etc)

Gallivanting across Europe was one of the funnest trips I’ve ever done. But by far, the biggest first world problem I had was those people don’t know what the hell “ice water“ is.
I would gladly give up the choice of “fizz or no fizz” when they were offering up sparkling water for “ice or no ice“ even if it was just one cube.

I drink all sorts of beers, except sours, and believe that every beer has its place.

I was in UK for two weeks and went to a lot of different places. Cold beer on tap or bottle wasn't an issue. Ice was definitely scarce however and not a normal thing to ask for in your drink. That was 15 years ago.
PS - None of my hotel rooms had a/c and there was a record heat wave during most of the trip. That was fun. Oh and the US dollar was weak at the time, a pound was roughly 1:2 USD if I recall. Our first stop on the bus from the airport was a Burger King where I dropped almost $40 US for my son and I. Took that arse-banging for the next two weeks.

I don't eat ketchup with steak, so your food-snootery is off target.
I'm not a lady, so I don't drink wine. I am perfectly happy with ice cold beverages, too.
I mostly swirl my diet coke around in a snifter to inhale the fizz, then swish it in my mouth before spitting it out, like most civilized folks do.

This whole post, except I'd add IPAs to sours. I've never tasted piss, but it can't taste much worse.
Not sure why going crazy with hops makes something more refined. Kind of like cooks who go nuts pouring Tony's on shite.

Most domestic lagers are not pilsners. They are light lagers, and don't resemble pilsners in any form other than clarity.

False. First off, taste is subjective, so you can't make definitives about beer. That being said, warm beer is not good beer, to me. I homebrew and serve my beers out of the tap at 42-45 degrees. My sours i like to allow to warm to 50ish when drinking. Anything over 55, really, is too warm, and makes the beer astringent, especially hoppy beers.

Warm Guinness and poor dental health.
