I can always tell a U High kid / parents. Kids are equal parts bratty, rude, and entitled. Then you meet the parents and and it all makes sense. Imitating the behavior they’ve observed. Lots of self importance and delusions of grandeur.
Reminds me of Johnny and the Cobra Kai kids in the Karate Kid type of mean punks. Never met a kid that went there I’d describe as kind hearted.

furious that he didn't tell the team before they played Madison Prep that he had done the math and knew they had to beat Madison Prep and Port Allen to make the playoffs. He allowed Keylan Moses and two other players to sit out of the game as a precautionary move instead of playing them. Had University won both games - all of this crap would have gone away.
I’ve read this 3x and I don’t understand what you’re saying.
Did the coach knowingly play ineligible players the whole season or did he believe they were eligible but continue to play them after the eligibility issues became apparent? Why would it “go away” if they had won those two games?

Why say this? You know it’s a dumb thing to waste your time typing. There are great people there.

UHS parent here. There is much more going on than the football situation. There has been a slow build up of issues over the last few years.
The thing that affected our experience personally was the lack of discipline for repeat offenders that created an unsafe environment.
There’s a host of other issues I know of that don’t have any direct effect on our family so I don’t feel like it’s my place to speak on them. But I fully trust and believe the people who made the complaints.

Ridiculous take. There are good kids and problem kids at just about any school. You could pick U-high, Dunham, Episcopal, any of the Catholic schools and there are going to be some good, well-raised, down to earth kids and some spoiled entitled brats.

If he didn’t know which is unlikely then that opens up a whole other set of issues. He was the athletic director..
It would go away bc they could’ve snuck into the playoffs had they won just a couple of games without the ineligible players..

Ebr dodged a bullet by not hiring him
He would have been worse then the previous one
The board member should resign that wanted him

U-high has sucked for some time now
My two boys graduated from there, and both completed ChemE degrees at LSU in 4 years. You are FOS.

I've encountered U-High kids around campus during lunch acting like complete ghetto hoodlums, its about 50/50 mix but it's not Gordon McKernan's culture that dominates. It gives the impression that the school is where people that are connected send their kids to go to school with urban athletes.
