As a male dealing with other male roommates I would have kindly emailed him back to let him know that
1) emailing demands is pussy shite
2) I want the top bunk. He can have the bottom so Everytime I bring home a sweet piece of arse he'll have first row seating to the show.
3) if you want something then get there early and take it. Touch my shite and someone's going to take an arse beating.
Luckily I didn't do any of this my first year in school because I went out, got a job, and got my own apartment like a real adult.

I mean, don't get me wrong, 90% of the guys stating they'd do the opposite, wouldn't.
But I doubt most would do nothing and give the chick anything she wanted, especially if it were a 2 on 1 type advantage in negotiations.

I would probably just ask to be moved to a different room. If she's already starting off this way it's going to be a very long semester, and she sounds like someone I would not want to deal with as a roommate.
