You can still do carryout on Waitr.

Uber needs to come down on their commission they charge businesses imo. 30% is pretty steep

Waitr has been a big positive for our business. I'm interested in Ubereats, but 30% is too much. That's 10 times what Waitr charges.

I'm honestly surprised BR didn't already have UberEats.

I've used it a few times and it's pretty damn convenient.

it would be Waitr since it started here in Louisiana

I don't think I'll go with something just because it came from here. If your company is shite it's shite. I don't like Community Coffee and I believe some people just like it and acquired the taste because it's roasted here.

That's not to say that Waitr is shite because I don't have much experience with them. Just me saying shite about the whole "because it's made here" thing.

I think we negotiated 8% with waitr. At this point we want every to go order to come through them. It is much more efficient for our empmoyees

What is the difference between Waitr and Ubereats? Does either have a distinct advantage over the other?

I would assume UberEats has a better mobile app platform atleast, Waitrs is decent but can get choppy at times

we were talking to one of the guys at Your Mom's a few months back and he said Waitr orders accounted for a pretty staggering amount of their business

Also not to turn this into a tipping thread but I do find it funny that Waitr gives you a tip percentage option and uses emojis to basically shame you for leaving less than 20 percent, when in fact their percentages are based on the entire bill and not based on the food. So you are tipping on tax and on the 5 dollar delivery fee.

They also need to add an option to specify that you are leaving a cash tip. I always tip but sometimes I'd rather leave cash and have to put a zero on the tip line, which I'm not sure how much that effect the efficiency of my order

No it won't. I have been watching these services very curiously. I worked in Pizza Delivery for 20 years As well as on the first online delivery systems 18years ago. I'm a programmer nerd.

My experience tells me we see POS and Delivery service integration within a few years and possibly one of the big boys of pizza outsourcing their delivery where possible. Right now these services give every participating restaurant an Ipad. They get an order on the Ipad and manually enter into their POS. WHen that is streamlined and integrated via API calls/EDI for the major players, the game will change in good way for customers.

Considering what it costs to offer delivery on the scale they(PJs, Pizza Hut, Dominos) do, it makes alot of sense they will outsource one day if they can guarantee consistent quality and delivery times.

Why do people willingly pay extra, for already expensive take-out? It's a rhetorical question, I already know the answer is that they are lazy. Dont give me this too busy bullshite. People weren't to busy to go out and buy lunch before this existed.

I really do not know about the consumer end. It isn't in Houma yet and they are predicting after the first of the year. As far as the business side, the commission is the reason why we are not on uber eats as well

We have a few locations where this is happening. Everything is about to go now. Hooters is even talking about drone delivery now. Not sure where that will go.
