I found out about this today. A guy we do occasional business with was one of his attempted victims. The last time I saw him was over a year ago and he was in good health. He came in today and was walking with great difficulty using a cane. He had gone in for routine surgery and had a stroke while in recovery.

He thought it was just a bad outcome until two detectives visited him a few weeks ago and told him the guy had tried to murder him. This nurse had been going around to unattended patients and injecting air into their IV lines. Now police are checking the records of every place he worked looking for more victims.

I wonder how many of his victims were from the Apache Drive-In?

The guy told me there are people who still support him. He has had a couple of gofundme pages up. Apparently he has a charming personality, which is a characteristic of psychopaths

Why would they ever trust a Male nurse to work with a neck beard like that? Probably has a closet dedicated to fedoras.

My mother in law was in that hospital recovering from open heart surgery the week before they caught him. Pretty crazy stuff.

I was going to mention that. It takes a significant amount of air, a very intentional act, to produce this outcome. I always laugh at people who spot a bubble or two in their IV and start freaking out. It takes much more than you think. I hope they have this guy on video.

I've played baseball with a few guys from Tyler.

Every single one of them is/was extremely weird about where they were from. They rep Tyler, Texas like nobody I've ever met reps their home town.

People from Texas do that, but they were a bit over the top.

I mean, most normal people probably don't know how much air can go into their veins..

An estimated 1% of any population are psychopaths. They make up 25% of the prison population. Almost no one can pick a psychopath out of a group of people.

Their brains are different from normal people. Hopefully, science will find a way to identify them before they act on their impulses.

I read another stat that we all will interact with an average of twelve serial killers in our lifetime. Casual interactions like the guy at the office that’s a bit strange or the cashier at the quick stop. Kind of scary there are that many out there.

Another useless stat is most serial killers are born in November.
