I don’t like that urban word — it’s just a politically correct way to say the n-word to me.

quote:

After winning his first Grammy award for IGOR and delivering a moving speech about how he ‘never felt fully accepted in rap’, Tyler – full name Tyler Gregory Okonma – was asked how he felt about the voting process. The artist got candid with his response, making reference to the racial bias that exists within the voting process and referring to his nomination as a ‘backhanded compliment’.

The fact that he can walk around dressed like that and be taken seriously by some shows that black people have been accepted.

Argument is bullshite. Black people win lots of Grammys

The fact people give a frick about the Grammys, Emmys, Oscars, Golden Globes, Tonys, etc etc. is insane to me.

All it is is nothing but a bunch of rich and famous assholes blowing each other and delivering politically motivated speeches from on high for all us plebeians to listen to how we’re bad people for driving cars.

Most of their “art” is vapid bullshite derived for the masses to collectively cum their pants over when in reality it’s absolute garbage.

If every job or award in the world doesn't have equal representation by every possible group we can divide humans into, the only possible reason for this is DISCRIMINATION.

The Grammy’s are like 85% black. It’s basically a three hour long praise and worship service for black folks. Spoiled and entitled CHILDREN like “Tyler The Creator” are constantly looking to be the victim.

Ignorant and bigoted mentalities like his will never end.

I don’t have an opinion on the guy himself, but he is 100% on point in saying that urban is the new nigg**. Hell “urban youths” is a common euphemism on this board.

I'm not necessarily saying urban = N-word, but are you seriously going to argue that using "urban" to describe a person isn't a euphemism for "black"

I thought urban youths took the place of the word thugs. Man I am so far behind the political correctness curve. Smdh

Why not just say black then? When people cry racism no matter what you say, why does it even matter?

Pretty much all new music has sucked for a while now, but after just looking this dude up, music might officially be dead. My god... how in the hell is that Grammy award winning? What a joke.

What’s wrong with just calling them black then? And really and truly, who the frick calls them urban youths anyway?

I expect plenty of reasonable takes from completely out of touch middle aged white dudes on Tyler, the Creator and his music
