One day this country will wake up and fix this problem. People shouldn't have to worry about "being in the wrong hood" or "staying alert". The more people who arm themselves and start defending themselves from these animals the better off we will be.

Where is this unconscious bias? The perps accosted this guy because he was not black. Pretty obvious in this case. It's a race issue, just not the type the media likes to publicize these days.

Surely those actions reflect the majority of that race, just how the comments in this thread reflect the majority of the races affixed to the posters. Ignorance and stupidity come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

U really want to go there? I understand ur point but young black men fill prisons not because of unconscious bias but because they commit an overwhelming majority of violent crimes despite being a very small portion of the population. Some of these crimes, including this one, are hate crimes. Does that mean all blacks behave this way? Of course not. But being scared to say something or take action because of perceived racism or hurting feelings is why this country is so fricked.
