I just went to the store and took the long way to get there. I wanted to see just where about it happened. Sure enough, WBRZ had a hot little reporter setting her camera up to do a 5 o'clock story. The place of the shooting is right by Rodney Drive and not far at all from Staring and Kennilworth. There was definitely time to escape with no panic. WHat I am hoping is that cell phone records tell the tale. For this to remain a stone cold who-dun-it would be hard to believe. The police say there's no motive as of yet, but they knew as soon as they arrived at the scene what it was all about. Anyhow, the place is in a more remote area of what is certainly a crowded subdivision.
On a side note, I also had to drive by the Texas Motel. For whatever reason, some dude was taking the road-view sign down. I do not know if he was putting up another or not.

When the construction on Staring was going on, it was absolutely untouched. In fact, the road work went conspicuously AROUND it. We used to laugh about it all the time.

I know the OT likes to speculate but I have never read any more cobbled up guesstimating than what you are putting out.
How in the hell have you arrived at your conclusions based on driving past an address and reading a news report? Wow.

We're on Boone -- off of Highland and Lee. There is no way to reach Kennilworth or Staring from our Boone. It is broken up and you HAVE to take Highland and turn into a totally different neighborhood to reach where Boone "continues". And every time I say I'm on Boone to give people directions, they think of the street close to Staring.
Annoying.
There's nothing wrong with the street where this happened either. I'm not saying it is better or worse than where I am, but damnit change the stupid street name when the street ends.

That's Baton Rouge. Continuous streets change names every few blocks and broken streets do not. I've always found it odd, but not particularly troublesome.

Not so easy to do now.
Property descriptions would have to be changed as well as insurance, car registrations, changing addresses with your utilities, etc, on driver's licenses... the list goes on.
Baton Rouge has the most dumbass street layout ever, where most streets change names when they cross another street. (All but Bluebonnet between Airline and Nicholson)

And Dallas isn't a stone's throw from here...and if you look on her FB page, do you think Corrin, with her job at Burger King from failed tricking in the DFW area, owned a car that worked? That's why I said the other girl was likely the driver. I doubt they flew in round-trip and were seen spending so much cash at Elgin's and Anthropologie that someone had to do a high-stakes robbery on them. Maybe the mafia wanted them dead. Or maybe they were just two prostitutes who drove several hours for sight-seeing purposes only. Hell, maybe they had road rage and the other vehicle shot them.

Had a couple walk through the front door one night when were pre-gaming to go out. Had a few friends over, so I assumed the couple was invited by one of them.
Turns out, the couple was looking for a party on Boone (the other Boone by Staring) and assumed our house was it.. but realized they didn't know anyone.
They were pretty embarrassed
