My original post was that I’m driving faster than the speed limit. (I’ve since clarified that if I’m in the left lane, I’m passing others). I stated my gripe was people then flying up behind me and flashing their lights. And I’m the a-hole? You can kiss my arse and stay behind me

I was pointing out YOU started with the name-calling.

Look, you're boring the shite out of me.
I'm growing tired of having a battle of wits with an unarmed person.

Don't hog the left lane and have a nice day.

Being stuck behind two 18-wheelers that are each hauling their halves of a double wide that wont let anyone pass them by.

Never said I was hogging or coasting in the left lane. You can’t read context clues and that somehow became my problem.

The worst problem that I regularly encounter in regards to the left lane is when one slow 18 wheeler decides to pass another slightly slower 18 wheeler (or two). Vehicles end up stacked twelve deep behind him in the left lane as he takes 5+ miles to pass the other slightly slower trucks. No one can go anywhere, the right lane is full of slow trucks and the left lane is backed up by the ever so slightly faster truck. Then, some jackass flies up on your arse like you have any fricking options, yanks the wheel, cuts off someone in the right lane, sees he can't go anywhere, yanks the wheel again, cuts someone off in the left lane, then rides your arse, still in the same fricking spot he was. If you're that guy......frick you and your whore mother for having you. There is no one involved in this situation other than the dickhead in the slightly faster 18 wheeler that can do a damn thing about any of it. You driving like a moron does nothing but create more problems.

My main driving pet peeve is when people can't maintain a speed. If you try to pass these degenerates, they will assume it's a race and suddenly floor it. Then slow down. Then floor it. Then slow down.

Like, I don't care if you want to be ahead of me, just frickin drive.

Amazing how many people don’t even know their vehicle has cruise control much less, how to use it. They speed up, slow down, speed up again ad nauseam. I LOVE my adaptive cruise control.

They shouldn't even have to flash their lights at you because you should notice them coming up behind you long before that. They're flashing their lights because you're slowing them down and they're trying to tell you to gtfo of the way since you apparently didn't get the memo.

It's not for you to say how fast someone can go in the fast lane. One inevitable truth I've learned in my years of driving is that no matter how fast I'm going, there'a always somebody who wants to go faster.

Get out of the fricking way.

You're trying to have discourse with an a-hole.

Waste of your time.

This kid on my street turned in front of me at an intersection elsewhere in town....texting and turning without signaling on La 86. Pissed me off (old man status activated)

I swear, none of y'all can read. If I’m an a-hole because I don’t like people driving like maniacs and thinking everyone else should put themselves and others in danger to get out of your way, then I guess I’m an a-hole. Y’all are the reason we all pay insanely high car insurance in Louisiana.

I find it particularly annoying when someone pulls out in front of you from a parking lot or intersection like they are in some huge hurry and there isn't another car behind you for at least a half mile, but they had to hurry up and pull out in front of you.

People that don't stick their neck out at a left yield turn on green. They sit at the line and with full traffic don't go through the light until they get the green arrow.

Folks who live in neighborhoods and deliberately make their vehicles louder are some of the biggest A holes out there.

Is it me or is this a new thing where people don't pull up during a stop light? Cars are 50 feet from each other.

People turning left out of a parking lot. They pull out of the lot, cross two lanes to the turning lane, then sit there waiting to merge into traffic. Explicitly illegal and they do it all the time.

I do that often. Looks like it's legal unless you stay in the turn lane for more than 200 feet.

Louisiana RS 32:83 - Driving on highways with two-way left-turn lanes and dedicated left-turn lanes

A.(1) The department may designate two-way left-turn lanes along segments of highways and may designate dedicated left-turn lanes on highways at intersections.

(2) A highway with two or more lanes in each direction and with a designated two-way left-turn lane shall be considered a divided highway with separate roadways.

(3) A two-way left-turn lane is a lane near the center of the highway for use by vehicles making left turns in both directions to and from connections on both sides of the highway. At an intersection, the department may designate the two-way left-turn lane as a dedicated left-turn lane.

B.(1) A vehicle shall not be driven in a two-way left-turn lane for more than two hundred feet while making a left turn from a highway or when making a u-turn.

(2) A vehicle shall not be driven in a two-way left-turn lane for more than two hundred feet while making a left turn onto a highway and merging into the adjacent lanes of travel.

(3) A vehicle shall not be driven in a two-way left-turn lane for more than two hundred feet to reach a dedicated left-turn lane at an intersection.

C. A vehicle in a dedicated left-turn lane at an intersection shall turn at the intersection only as designated by posted pavement marking, signing, or traffic signal indication.

D. Vehicles shall not be driven across dedicated left-turn lanes at intersections or across areas delineated with pavement markings consisting of solid lines and filled in with diagonal striping. A vehicle may be driven across a two-way left-turn lane.

Taking a turn "wide" when there is no need. I understand if you're trying to make a U-turn on a narrow road but if your just turning left at a signal there is no need to swing out to the right into the next lane before making that turn.
this one’s bad. And they end up taking half the turning lane and half the lane you’re in as they make their turn. Probably driving a small sedan thinking they gotta swing it out like a Peterbilt

Exactly. It's not another driver's responsibility to check another driver's speed. Call *LSP and report them if you must, but GTF over when it's safe to do so. Odds are the speeding driver is just a butthead in a big hurry, but you never know if they're trying to get someone to the ER. Been there, done that and had to deal with some old fart trying to regulate my speed while my toddler son was in the passenger seat turning blue.
