Full Story

Competitive surfer Frank O’Rourke was taking in the waves on his board near Jacksonville Beach Pier around 3:30 p.m. when a shark bit into the 23-year-old’s right arm, he told WJXX.

Meanwhile, an hour later and about 110 miles south at New Smyrna Beach, 49-year-old William Angell was bitten on the right thigh while boogie boarding.

Just in time for Shark Week.

Somebody I don’t know comes into my house, I shoot. So I don’t have a problem with a shark doing the same. I’ll allow it. Carry on.

They were good sharks.

Loved school and were attending the local community college.

Then you will love this comedy bit by a comic named Ian Edwards.

There is no such thing as a shark attack

Just going to get your toes wet then, huh?. Those suckers can be very fast. I figure I gotta go sometime. Why not at the beach swimming in the water?

Us and Dolphins (whales, specifically cetaceans) rule the seas.

Sharks are just dumbass pits who bite everything.

That may be true, but sharks have been on Earth for 400 million years, and haven’t changed much. If we don’t destroy the planet or the japs don’t fish until the oceans are empty, I’m willing to bet sharks will still be here after us too.

Not evolving much over time doesn't always show a perfect form. Just perfectly situated for their situation which hasn't changed.

So, they are very specialized aggressors.

Cetaceans and humans demonstrate levels of problem solving that can get them by with adaption until the processes of evolution have time to work and change their physical attributes.

Wolves, dolphins, ravens, humans. Just because they show levels of corporation within and outside of their species, you should understand they kind of are top of the food chain within their "discipline". Dem brains bro.
