Two Chicago Officers Killed By Train While Chasing Armed Suspect

Johnson said 2018 has been an "immensely difficult" year for the Chicago Police Department in terms of officers killed in the line of duty, as well as an uptick in officer suicides. He noted it's been a particularly difficult year for the 5th District.

Two good men killed just a week before Christmas. It has been a horrible year for Chicago PD. They’ve now lost seven officers this year, two to gunfire, two to this train, and three to suicide.

I guess new facts are coming in. I read they were just looking for a suspect due to shots fired in the area. Didn't read where they were chasing someone. I still don't understand how you get hit by a train.

Chicago PD gets paid pretty well fwiw. They’re making close to 100k a year after probation and with overtime.

People get hit by trains ALL THE TIME in Illinois. Someone got hit this morning I think at a stop I sometimes transfer at birth of the loop. Most of the time, it’s suicide.
But trains are much much much more common up north. People tune them out.

You will have to take the South and West sides out. Considering Chicago doesn't have an "East Side", then 2/3 are poison. Thus, you fail.

Was just in Chicago the other week. Mich Mile area and it is really nice but we drove in through Gary Ind and the Southside. What a shithole. I thought progressive policies were supposed to end this shite.
