Sounds like an OD situation. Carbon monoxide also possible. My thoughts are they would have mentioned drugs if they found them in the apartment, but that’s just my thought.

God how shitty would that be if they died from carbon monoxide (or something in the house) in an Airbnb-style rental? That would make me never want to stay in one again...

How common are MDMA overdoses? I've never heard of one.

Very, very rare. People also don't tend to hole up in shitty day rentals to take molly. Maybe they got some shite that was laced. 2 people overdosing on MDMA at the same time while not partying their asses off is extremely unlikely.

When I lived there back in the day, there was a big black mold problem in the units.

I’m not familiar, but can that kill you within a day or days? With no internal or external signs of trauma?

Clark noted that autopsies for both Raymond and Gentil found swelling of the brain and lungs, a sign of a slow loss of oxygen, which is often seen in overdose deaths. However, he said without toxicology results, he cannot yet rule of the official cause or manner of death.

I’m not sure. I wasn’t there long after I discovered it & found out from neighbors that it was widespread.

My money is on heroin laced with fentanyl. CDC lists pulmonary edema and increased blood pressure in the brain as symptoms of fentanyl exposure.

OD seems to be the answer. But I feel like they would have said if they found paraphernalia or drugs in the apartment. But maybe not?

Nah, they’re not obligated to release those kinds of details, especially after a day. Still have to remeber these two are someone’s kids. They’re not going to wave the details around beyond letting the public know no foul play.

Not unless you know for sure, you can’t have people reporting the overdosed and then be wrong

Yeah usually if there are needles, spoons, baggies they’ll say it appears to be drug related etc.

Maybe there wasn’t and they just snorted it and died who knows.

But yeah prob fent was involved. I’ve lost close to 200 people in past few years to that. It’s insane

I know, I was trying to say that as soon as you report you found a bunch of rigs or drugs it’s assumed the person overdosed which may not always be the case. If there was anything sketchy in the apartment, I think we would know about it by now though. The news has been all over this story today

Fake pills are one of the biggest dangers of Fentanyl. A little bit of Fentanyl is put in a mixture, then pressed to look like oxy or Vicodin pills, and sold as a pain pill. A little bit of Fentanyl can go a long way, and it’s often easier to make a batch of fake pills than get your hands on a stash of legitimate Oxy.

The fake pills turn deadly when the mixture and ratio is off just a little. They could have bought just a couple of pills, and easily consumed their entire stash.
