Two Arrested for Defacing BLM Mural in Manhattan

The mural was vandalized twice in one day -- for a total of four times in one week.
In the first incident, black paint was splattered all over the mural just after 3 p.m. Saturday.
Bevelyn Beatty, 29, and 39-year-old Edmee Chavan, both of Staten Island, were arrested and charged with criminal mischief. They were both given desk appearance tickets and were released.

BLMural does not matter. Hopefully more paint will splatter. Who decided BLM can burn and deface property with no repercussions yet if someone “defaces” their graffiti it is somehow considered a crime?

So, essentially putting graffiti over graffiti is illegal?
Painting on streets should be frowned upon no matter what is stated. Street painting and markings are for driver safety and regulations, not to spew your political agenda

It's comical that people think the police will not arrest you if they are told to from their authority figures. Police are not your friends, and per Supreme Court Decisions, have zero duty to actually protect you if any sort of hostilities occur.

It’s amazing how much red tape a citizen has to go through to change the awning on their business or change the color of their front door. Meanwhile a street can be “decorated” in a matter of days and anyone who does their own “decorations “ is arrested.
