So what's the situation now?

These idiots, who will advance no further in their political lives, just gave St. George a 100 percent blessing.

Have fun NBR...I am sure Apple, 9 West, BMW, and loads of restaurants and outlet malls will be begging you to take them. Cutting edge research and technology will all come from the great 70805. Memorial Stadium will showcase the best in entertainment.

Baker and Zachary (yes, Baker) are praising Allah and Jesus right now.

The problem is St. George doesn't change taxes like the COA or the Metro Council.

We got screwed when BRAC, BRAF, and the Council let this abomination on the ballot.

They are flat out sucking taxpayers dry, and our so called leaders are watching them do it.

If no amendments to the oversight associated to the millage were passed, then it's the same bill she said she'd say "no" to.

If these asshats would hold a meeting when working people got off, I would like to gate crash the shite out of the next one. I think TD.com needs to show up in full force. Many of us -- the same ones in every thread -- have been complaining for a while. I know I got PEEVED when Gary ruined the Judge's reputation. Since then, I have been full blown "What can I do to get SG passed?"

These fricking free-loading assholes.

Chauna and DM and Tarsha gonna get home and watch Tyler Perry shows and drink Hen and laugh that they have power over this city.

Gawd damn it!

Not true

SG would get sales taxes collected in their city.

If SG got their own ISD property taxes would stay in SG.

There were. My only suspicion is that they'll just deny the funds dispersement annually.

For the School District. Not for BREC, COA, Library, etc.

They added a few nonsense oversight amendments. Nothing that will prevent massive, blatant theft.

I wonder how many of the Yes votes would have changed if the voters would have been aware of the issues beforehand. . . . who knows

Considering it only passed by about 2,200 votes, I wouldn't bet on it passing in that case.

Hello everyone,

Ascension Parish will welcome you with open arms. We like tax payers that can actually pay.

No. If St George has an ISD that tax would be in addition to the EBR Parish taxes. You would still pay COA, CATS and Library among others.

Guess who's pissed that someone had the audacity to call out the COA on all their bullshite over the last 6 months.
