Twitter is reportedly working on an OnlyFans-style feature

Referred to as "Paywalled Video," the new feature would allow content creators to charge users a fee to view videos on the platform, according to an internal email obtained by the publication.
The Post reported that a Twitter employee, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said it seemed like a feature that would probably be used at least partly for adult content.
The report added that the move could place Twitter in competition with sites that have an emphasis on adult content.

They already have the framework in place for it with the super follower, or whatever it is called, feature.

That just seems like a slur article. On top of that it's coming from Yahoo.

I finally have a place to show my goods unashamed

You have to ask yourself why the previous powers that be over Twitter never thought of this. It’s been widely known for a long time that Twitter really doesn’t generate revenue. This is a perfect way to do that.

My wife said that she was going to try using only fans. I figured using less air conditioning a good thing. I’m all about saving money.

If they allow child porn, I can support Twitter again!

They did. The "super follower" feature costs money. No idea where they intended to take it, though.

If she has pretty feet she can make a killing and not even have to show her T&A.

You mean other than the $5.22 billion in revenue it generated last year?

Well, there’s this…
quote:
Since going public in 2013, Twitter has only occasionally turned a profit, even if it has a commanding role in politics and culture worldwide.
LINK
And this…
quote:
Despite its reach and impact, the San Francisco-based one-to-many messaging platform has struggled to generate the kind of revenue seen by social media peers such as Facebook and TikTok.
Since its founding in March of 2006, Twitter has amassed 217 million daily active users, more than 80 percent of them outside the United States.
Twitter did not taste profit until the end of 2017, and the following year was its first to finish financially in the black.
LINK
And compared to the other Social Media Giants, it’s a munchkin…
quote:
Twitter has the same business model — free and supported by advertisers — as Google and Facebook. But it has much, much less reach than those companies, so advertisers aren’t going to give it as much support.
That’s why Google brought in $257 billion last year, and Facebook brought in $117 billion — and Twitter did $5 billion. And it’s why Google is worth $1.7 trillion, Facebook $583 billion, and Twitter $36 billion.
LINK
So, yes, Twitter has long been known for not generating revenue. It took it 5 years after going public to show even a single quarterly profit…
quote:
Twitter has posted its first quarterly profit in the company’s 12-year history, although a clampdown on fake accounts meant it lost users in the US and overall user growth stalled.
The San Francisco-based social network, which went public five years ago, made a profit of $91m (£65m) in the fourth quarter of 2017, compared with a $167m loss a year earlier, after cutting costs.
LINK
For a social media company it’s done terrible when it comes to generating revenue.

Do people not realize that there is already tons of hard-core porn on twitter?

Yet, there's no shortage of poor, hard up bastards who pay no telling how much to OnlyFans whores.

Hasn’t Tumblr gone back to allowing adult content?

Like CNN and Washington Post, they had other priorities than making money, like spreading bullshite
