Most of Austin’s surrounding counties are red.

One of them went for Biden in 2020 but elected a republican US House member.

It ain't the non-binary rainbow unicorns who are voting.

This is exactly right. More important than fiduciary responsibilities, apparently

When Twitter stock tanks into the toilet next week, can someone tell me how the common share holders (of which there are millions) don't file a giant class action lawsuit against Twitter and its board, and thus bankrupt the entire company?

They dont let anyone with xx shares (or a certain percentage of stock) to purchase any of the newly released shares.

Problem is it waters down the value of the company. BOD are fricking the shareholders in an effort to maintain control.

So the effect will be... you get a lawsuit, she gets a lawsuit, everyone gets a lawsuit.

They'd deserve it. And it will come while Twitter shares tank in value and the board attempts to deflect blame by replacing leadership.

It should be obvious that Twitter is and always has been a state actor. You have big government colluding with big tech to horde political discussions onto a "platform", set a political narrative and then censor deviating viewpoints. This is the definition of soft fascism and the very people who think they're fighting the man are the ones supporting the man.

Peppermint Patty has said with glee on multiple occasions they have told social media to remove people. All hell would have broken loose if the orange man had tried that.

Twitter is a propaganda arm of the government masquerading as a publicly traded company. Its goal is not to make money.

I dont recall anyone talking about trump in here. And we are the ones obsessed.

What a joke

No. You know what's a joke? I can be in a thread having a discussion and people like you will come in and start telling me shite and I just go back and forth with you idiots.

This thread is about Elon Musk and the whole twitter situation. And since Trump started a social media platform that is supposed to compete with twitter, I was just curious how that would work out if Elon buys Twitter.

If Musk buy's twitter there will be more people who will either sign up or start using it more which will only make it stronger.

I think its a legit discussion. If Sams made a big move to change things would people not discuss how it would impact CostCo?

I concur with Sundance's theory as to why Musk is doing what he's doing, and why those on the left and in the political establishment are so terrified.
