If i cut a pizza in 4 slices and you have 1 slice of pizza, you are happy. But if i cut the same pizza into 20 slices (and take back about 1/5 of your 1 slice to help me get to 20 even sized cuts), you would be kind of pissed. You have to pay money just to get back to your same quantity (dont think of slices, think of ounces).
You should think more and post less.
You missed the part that these are "new issue" stocks.

Correct.
This isn't a stock split - 1 share at 100/per is now 4 shares at 25/per.
This is issuing more shares to dilute price and ownership stake (frankly, Vanguard at 10% should be pissed to high heaven at this prospect).

At a minimum he's fricking the company and board and exposing them as only interested in maintaining it as a propaganda wing of the left. They are in breach of their fiduciary responsibility either way.
