Did you really talk like Little Lord Fauntleroy when you were a kid?

Of course! He wasn't raised to be a plebian!

Friend,

I had every intention of providing an appropriate and welcoming environment. With the tepid response it appears, however, that our gathering was not meant to be. I will be at the Napoleon House today if you’d like to join me.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Not one of your better efforts. You sacrificed the story for a pompous, self indulgent piece. I’m still a fan but there was no meat on these bones.

I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Company.

Just wanted to say I’m glad you left the jambalaya off the list. TNH jambalaya is trash, tastes like dirty rice.

I am a big fan and always have been. The new owners have taken a strength and made it stronger.

Burger is among ten best in city.
Thin catfish is far superior than Middendorfs.
Best cole slaw in NOLA.

I grew up eating at the ones in Metairie and still enjoy those. Occasionally eat at St Charles location now.

Perhaps I’ll write about some of my memories there. When the new owners were posting on the Food Board they enticed me with a free meal. Always appreciated it.

If anyone tonight claims to be me and does not produce a 1928 edition of the Book of Common Prayer, they are lying.

1. Cheese board
Taste wise it’s probably not the best, but there’s more to dining than taste.
Where are some other good places in NOLA to get a cheese board? Ms. FCP and I grew quite fond of them during several summers in Quebec. Wondering if your sojourns had unearthed similar options closer to home.

As a lifelong New Orleanian, I know this type. The middle aged oddball who probably still lives with his mother. She still buys him toys from the trinket vendors walking down the street at parades. "Mother can I have a toy kazoo and a pack of snap pops?" This guy is like 40.
