At one time I would downvote all his novels. Then I began to read every post. Everything is filled with gems.

I didn’t know what Voltron was before Uncle gave me this when I was five. It came with four other tigers or lions, but this is the only one I have, as some were lost in a home invasion. It used to transform into a big human like thing, which was pretty neat. Classmates who were allowed over said it was the only fun toy I had. I agree -- it was a lot of fun and from time to time it’s still a lot of fun.

And here we offer and present unto thee, O Lord, our selves, our souls and bodies, to be a reasonable, holy, and living sacrifice unto thee; humbly beseeching thee, that we, and all others who shall be partakers of this Holy Communion, may worthily receive the most precious Body and Blood of thy Son Jesus Christ, be filled with thy grace and heavenly benediction, and made one body with him, that he may dwell in us, and we in him.

Had my old one like this saved for a grandson but it disappeared during a move.

Not many things compare to the sight of children rushing to the Christmas tree on that grand morning. The happenings and clatter of the Advent season reach a crescendo in that moment. Eyes aglow, hearts pattering, voices peaking with excitement, it’s an unforgettable site for the parent who loves. Meeting Tom Fitzmorris for the first time or getting an empty seat on the St. Charles streetcar for the entirety of your trip may be the only comparable events.

I arose with a marvelous idea today, spurred by this chapter. Why don't we all think of the ten most meaningful and memorable gifts we've each received through our lifetimes. Ten is arbitrary. It could be any number. For each of those gifts, you could write a letter of thanks to the person who gave them to you. As parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents' years wane, why not take a few minutes from today? That five or ten minutes you tossed away reading a silly thread -- it could be the time needed to write a beautiful letter to a loved one whom I'm sure will cherish it.

May love and gratitude fill the halls of your heart and strengthen the neurons of your nous today.

P.S. Rummey, I would like that very much, friend.

Oooo I think I found a small leak in the troll. That wiffle ball set is relatively new based on the twitter/instagram/FB on the packaging.

So did TulaneLSU, as an adult, receive a wiffle ball and bat from his dad? Or was this not a gift at all?

Such intrigue
