Just out of curiosity is Dark their NXT level show? Never watched it due to several wrestlers I have no use for usually being on it the last time I paid attention.
when it was being filmed on the road... it was a spot for people not on Dynamite (pre-Rampage) to get ring time
people like Moxley & Eddie Kingston & Lucha Bros would be on getting squash wins
now that Dark is in Orlando taped a month at a time... and Rampage is a thing... it's more for the mid-carders to accumulate wins so when they randomly pop in in AEW's top 5 rankings... it makes sense
see: Varsity Blonds getting a tag team title shot or Penelope Ford getting a women's title shot
ETA: also... a chance to look at newly available talent (like Arturo Ruas & Santana Garrett at the 1st Universal Studio tapings this past weekend)

There’s a reason why it’s free.

If something has real value, it’s never free.

It’s been what? 6-7 weeks and we are already at Certified Midcarder Phil. Ole Chicago Mark isn’t that interesting unless he’s railing against The Fed (insider term).
Right? He is at his best when he is a foil to the powers that be. But all he has done so far is suck the dick of AEW and Tony Khan.
It would be like Stone Cold coming back to WWE and being Vince's lap dog.

AEW's top 5 rankings
When Daniel Bryan shows up and challenges Kenny Omega for the title doesn’t it undermine these “rankings”?

no one is buying Hulu strictly for Main Event
but it's not worth having a conversation with you... you're more dug into your position than a politician in DC right now
I'm a 'rising tide raises all ships' person... and WWE putting on 2 really fun shows after Raw lost the demo last week to Dynamite is no coincidence
neither is the fact that the Raw card was completely flipped on Thursday... (tag title match that they spent HALF of last week's Raw episode setting up suddenly just disappearing in favor of a WWE Championship match that was already set for 2 weeks away as well as Big E calling his shot for last night's Raw after weeks of accosting Paul Heyman)... but you're too blinded by WWE's light to look at the evidence staring you in the face

Dave Meltzer was on twitter the other day trying to justify this... basically saying the rankings matter but doing what is best for business matters more... so why have rankings at all? The records are worthless anyway since many of the wrestlers have inflated records due to beating jobbers every week on Dark.

Dark mattered than the EVPs would appear on it. As far as I know, the Bucks, Omega, and Cody have not showed up on Dark.
All of them have appeared on Dark, Mox as well.

I still believe the 'we don't do that here' line during last week's show means the first Danielson/Omega singles match will be non-title
and I still am 100% in the belief that "Hangman" is taking the belt off Omega... not Danielson or Punk

Main Event is on Peacock too bruh and the WWE Network before.
But like I said, nothing of any real value is given for free, especially in entertainment.

When? They sure havent appeared on Dark in the last 18 months thats for sure except Moxley who is being pushed further and further into irrelevancy these days. He was the original FED BAD signing but now they have CM Punk and others that will carry the FED BAD I ESCAPED FROM WWE SLAVERY banner. Moxley looks horrible these days - he is gaining weight, out of shape, and looks like Alex Jones

There you go buying into the those myths again. The networks themselves don’t even use Nielsen ratings anymore but WWE is suppose to be worried that the 20k homes that are used by Nielsen that don’t even report accurate information. I can speak firsthand on this because I was a Nielsen household for 6 months back in 2010-2011. You know how many days I accurately filled out my paperwork? Maybe 4. I just wrote the same thing over and over again on Sunday afternoons whether I watched it or not.

the guy who main evented last week's Dynamite and is still more over than probably anyone else in the company?
he doesn't need to be in the title picture to be relevant
he's just having dream feuds right now

According to who? Meltzer? Did you pay your $11.99 for that 100% accurate and unbiased opi… information?
You’re better than this rt3, don’t be a basement dwelling Dubbalo like Thanus.

If he’s happy good for him, but his career has peaked unless he’s back in the E. Being happy in AEW is like being happy in Triple A. Yeah you are playing pro baseball against some former Major Leaguers, but you’re not in The Show.
Posted on 9/14/21 at 11:47 pm to TheeRealCarolina
so then why change the whole card for Raw... make a whole 90 minutes of last week's show completely irrelevant and throw Lashley/Orton for the title as well as a called in advance MITB cash-in for the 1st Raw vs. the NFL this year?
stuff that only changed after Thursday?
you can't answer that b/c it was solely a reaction to AEW
and good for Big E for being the beneficiary of it
but I'm done with this... you're too stuck in your ways
I'm just going to enjoy wrestling... all of it... WWE, AEW, NJPW, IMPACT... and I'm glad WWE's decided to make mostly good TV again

I sat in executive meetings with Nielsen Reps as Nielsen was scrambling to maintain its accreditation with the Media Research Council. Which they lost.
My old boss is a board member of the MRC and he voted NO on Nielsen maintaining their accreditation.
There is no currently accredited television measurement service that exists at the moment. Comscore has a high sample size but their methodology makes it nearly impossible to accurately measure demographics. Nielsen's issue is a very low sample size and difficulty recruiting a panel that is proportional to the demographics of each media market. This is why they lost accreditation.
