I mean it’s obvious School Board Steiner’s boy is gonna get a pretty good push…..if they put the title on him and he can carry it he might not be long for the NXT world.

I’m still not sure why they didn’t put the Steiner name on him though…..it’s still got some rub on it I would think.

Also, The Fed didn’t exactly treat the Steiner Bros great…I could see him bolting after his deal is up.

Their tag run in the early 90s was good for the tag team. WWF wanted to turn Scott into a huge top level singles guy and that’s not what Scott and Rick wanted so they left and made their way back to WCW.
Scott singles run after WCW was dead and gone was the drizzling shits all of his own accord. He was still Big Poppa Steroid Pump but he didn’t condition and all and couldn’t even work a 7-10 minute match. HHH out worked him in every sense of their feud. WWE rightfully gave up on Scott pretty quick.

They trademarked the name Rex Steiner so that’s where they are going, but I bet they wanted to let him build himself on his own merit first before they put the name on him.
