What they should do is get the school kids to work their own school farm where they grown their own fruit and veg, and raise livestock. That would eliminate processed garbage meals, give them exercise so they can fight diabetes taking over their ranks, and give them a real understanding of life and where your food comes from. It would almost certainly save money as well.
That’s what Angola does. This would be good practice, amirite?

I've already stated that better tasting food is in fact healthier and most of weight is caused by genetics
"better tasting food is healthier" is false. The health contents of food is in no way correlated to taste. Healthier foods could taste better or worse than unhealthier alternatives.
Genetics does play a role in weight gain, true. But you can be predisposed genetically to obesity or overweight and control it by eating a healthy diet.
There is also more to health than your weight. You can have the best genetics in the world, eat like shite and not gain weight or become fat- and that doesn't make you a healthy person. It just makes you not fat.

President Cheeto's days are numbered. Dominoes beginning to fall. Flynn singing like a bird.

If Laura Bush has done it, this board would be jizzing itself about how she was the most responsible First Lady ever. The hypocrisy of the republican is amazing
Have you actually seen the shite they’re trying to feed kids,or are you just being a douche because you’re really good at it?

Somehow wanting kids to be healthy and eat healthy foods is now a partisan issue...hope the circle jerks for supporters of both parties are worth it.

So you're mad and retarded. Good combination for a LWNJ.

Incredibly uneducated people on nutrition rejoicing because kids are going to be eating better tasting food now instead of healthy food.
But the kids weren’t eating the healthy food. They were trashing it. Bc they aren’t used to eating healthy food at home. And Bc they’re not the desperately starving kids liberals romanticize about.

Why anyone past the age of 3 would be drinking whole milk is beyond me

It's disheartening to see, honestly.

It's better to miss a meal than fill up on sugar. This is the type of logic that has resulted in the rise of childhood diabetes. Snacks, shite food etc.
Do you even have kids? We're talking about school lunches...they never spent money on sugar...every dessert I remember as a kid tasted exactly like it was missing sugar.

I dont like anything out of the Obama admin but this was actually a good step.
Trying to get kids to eat healthy!? Oh the horror!
Because what we've been doing has been so great.

They always had healthy choices growing up but most kids didn't eat it.
I do think most cheap food is bad for you, but I think parents should have control there.
Don't blame schools for fat kids, a small burger or slice of pizza with milk won't make you huge.
Unlimited snacks and sugar drinks at home do.

Why can't there be both healthy and unhealthy options with the school lunch?
Lord it does not need to be a binary issue

Sad that this is even an issue. If you're too poor to feed your own kids, then you shouldn't be having any
Excellent point. But then the left would lose a lot of votes without the handouts.

And - if these kids are going to eat for free, they can either eat healthy or starve.
For some odd reason youre getting 50% downvotes for this yet if you changed it to, "And - if these welfare queens are going to eat for free with foodstamps, they can either eat healthy or starve." youd be at 100% upvote.
I find it strange that conservatives want to conserve everything but their health. You baws need to come around. Im on your team and we need to take back the "eating healthy" image from the liberals.
