True love - Random or Work Hard?

Baws I have a Saturday question for y’all.
When you meet that one special one, does it happen by randomness like the universe crosses your paths together, or is it something that you baws work hard for? I have seen cases of both.
Example of it just happening:
Meeting your future wife at the customer service line, spilling your drink on someone, and such completely random events.
Example of a baw working hard for:
Baw sees hot friend of friend and slowly works his way around her and gets future wife to fall for him over time.

I’ll let you know when I find one

First you have to comment “beautiful” or “gorgeous” on their Facebook/Instagram ‘give me attention’ photos where they’re showing cleavage because they want comments and likes but they pretend the cleavage is just happenstance
ETA: it also helps if your profile picture is a photo of your jacked up truck.

The reality is that there isn’t just one special someone. If there was, the odds that practically everyone’s special someone happens to live within twenty miles of them would be absurd.
There are millions of people in this country that would make any given person happy. The trick is realizing whether you have actually found one of those people, and if so, treating them in such a way that a relationship is possible.

None of the "random" events are truly random. They happen pretty frequently. The human mind just latches on to them and assigns some level of significance to them because that's what the human mind does.

I think this is wise. We're taught growing up that there is a special someone, Disney movie shite.
The reality is it is hard work, combined with timing. Maybe it happens by what appears chance at the time. Regardless, it takes hard work and dedication to make it last. After 6 months the new and shiny wears off and then you see where you're really at.

On my Facebook feed I'll see an attractive girl post a new selfie and within 30 minutes she has 65 likes and 9 comments from desperate guys.

that person has to feel the same about you too...
so turn that "millions" into maybe a hundred

One of my best friends met his wife on bourbon street...
We were celebrating graduating undergrad and went to NOLA for the night... we went to this bar and were on a balcony and this group of girls came up to party with us.
They left and she told him she would give him her number if they crossed paths later that night. And luckily we did .. she and him hit it off but she had a boyfriend ... they exchanged numbers and eventually she broke up with him and my friend and her would alternate flying from Jackson To San Antonio
Eventually they got engaged and have been married for almost 4 years now. She’s a gorgeous girl from McAllen who comes from a good family
I was lucky to be a groomsmen in their wedding and it was one of the funnest weekends of my life
This case was random and by chance because there is almost a zero percent chance their paths would have ever crossed until that one night on bourbon street

True love is just an expression for intense passion that fades into either real love or nothing over time.
Real love can come from "true love" as described above, or it can come from growing a friendship over time.
Neither way is better than the other.

Certainly.

Maybe a hundred? I'm sure this is true for some absolute train wrecks out there, but not for the average person.
Let's take the prime "dating to realistically get married in the near to mid future" age range of 25-29. There are about 12M women in that range alone. Go one deviation up and one down and you add 11M and 11M for a total of 34M women.
In order for someone to have 1M workable possibilities, we're talking about 2.9% of the population. That's it.

To say that compatibility doesn’t play any role is silly. To say that hard work isn’t the main effect is foolish.

Roughly 50% of people find true love on their first attempt. The other 50%. . . Decide to keep looking.

Are you 13 years-old?
Obviously if a man is looking for a potential wife he’d need to be regularly in the places where the kind of women he’s looking for are to find candidates. I know women well enough to know that a guy “working hard” at it smells of desperation and women that I’d want are negatively attuned to that attitude in a guy.
Just like when dealing with a car salesman you gotta project that it’s not a big deal to you.

I don't think 3% is viable on a long term basis. I'd say probably 0.5% is more realistic.

1/200 seems overly pessimistic to me, but let's play with that number for a bit.
Even if your criteria were as limited as: 1. Lives within the United States AND 2. is of the opposite sex AND 3. is within ten years of your age AND 4. assuming a 0.05% "workable" rate, that leaves you with roughly 170,000 people.
In my opinion, that number is fricking staggering by comparison to the generally pessimistic and myopic views on "the one" most people seem to have.

And if they don't all the hard work in the world won't change it. In the movies, persistence =success. IRL it makes you a creeper and might get you a restraining order. If you don't have a clear indication your interest is reciprocated, move on.
The other thing to keep in mind is there is not someone for everyone. Some people never find their match. You can have a fulfilled life anyway. It's up to you.

It’s random but being married and going through life together is hard work. Kids are not easy. Eventually you have financial and personal trials to go through. If it’s someone you have to work for just to get along, Get ready to lose half yo shite.

I've only ever met one woman who I had an effortless connection with.
And I fricked that up for a big butt, Smokey eyes, and a insatiable desire to be sexually degraded.
Young baws, don't marry that girl.
Marry the girl who you can have a six hour conversation with, who is always horny, and who you know would be a good mom.
