So you're saying he didn't get out of his truck with a gun to argue with Lee, didn't point the gun at him, and didn't pull the trigger?
Maybe the truck shot Lee

These comments on the nola article are good
"He finally got tired of living next to that tacky house and just snapped."
"Is the truck for sale yet?"
"The guy was a *****, but he didn't have to die for it. But then he won't be messing with anyone anymore will he."

You’re assuming he always open carries. He’ll have to back that up with more than just a self serving statement. If he can’t produce other witnesses stating they see him carrying his gun all the time then he’s full of shite and this guy planned it out.
How long has he owned this gun? How many times has he shot it? Had he ever thought of killing his neighbor before? Why did he have these thoughts? Why did he think he needed to shot the neighbor this time if he always open carries? Oh he snapped? Why did he snap? Thanks for your testimony sir, here’s your manslaughter and hers your 20 years.

Jefferson Parish investigators are looking for the men who carjacked a mother and her 14-year-old daughter near Old Metairie as neighbors grow more alert in an area they say has always been safe. “They came over here looking for a phone,” says 74-year-old Wayne Higgins. Higgins has lived on Bonnabel Boulevard in Metairie for 30 years, but this past Saturday was unlike any other. “My girlfriend and I were talking to the cat, playing with the cat and the doorbell rang. I went to the door and she said we’ve been robbed, and I made her repeat it. She said we’ve been robbed and I told my girlfriend to call the police,” says Higgins, “They were in terrible shape. They were all upset. Well, you can imagine, some guys put a gun to your head.”
quote:
“It’s a crazy world that we live in and for something like this to happen in Metairie i just don’t believe it,” says Metairie resident Big Lee.
quote:
“You have to be careful with everything. It’s a shame to say this, but you can hardly trust anyone anymore,” says Higgins.

Wiz. you and Jeeps arguing isn’t going to bring Big Lee back.
We should put aside our differences and come together during tragic events like this.

I'm starting to wonder if you know how to read. But let's revisit this when the video comes out.

You're describing a completely different scenario. What time did you show up for?
Ok, I’ll show up at 3pm and try all the locks.
That property is about 1/4 mile from the NO city limits and maybe a block off the interstate. Crimes don’t all happen after midnight. I lived in that neighborhood in the early 90s and we had a carjacking on the frontage road on a weekday.
And again, without having to give any excuses, he was within his rights not only from the 2nd amendment, but as the property owner.

Digging deeper, Wayne Higgins appears to be a retired plumber, not the terminex guy.

Weren't you the dick bag arguing with and chastising me on the Joe McKnight murder thread?

No need to look up the definition of 'irony' today.

Quote from neighbor (who knew him very well) about the perp:
quote:It isn't looking good for Mr Higgins if people who knew him are saying he has a bad temper
Kirkly described Higgins as a "very quick-to-anger guy,"

Next news story quote from Mr. Higgins:
"I was pulling out of my driveway when suddenly somebody starts power-washing my window and I can't see. So, I stop the truck and get out to see what the hell is going on but i can't see because somebody is power-washing my face. I feel the skin on my face begin to tear and I'm kind of a bleeder so I fear for my life here, see? So, I pull my gun very hastily and panicky and I hear it go off once. Later, I heard that somebody died. And that's all I know."

The house is done. It looks like they moved in a while ago. A shame the new house isn't built in a way to show off the cars. As a kid I used to love stopping by and seeing the cars.

I saw Big Lee a couple of Saturdays ago at one of the neighborhood Walgreen's/Rite Aid/CVS trying to buy a $600 gift card because "Entergy called and was going to cut off his utilities" if he didn't pay.
Immediately. With a gift card. On a Saturday.
The employees talked him down.
I have nothing else to contribute. Carry on.
