Watch this thing shock the meteorologists.
Nothing would surprise me with the way the last 2 years have been

The meteorologists have been nailing forecasts down to tens of miles and +/- 5 mph all year.

That's what I'm saying although you spelled it better than me ... but yes, I did the same. One day it dawned on me when said "that sky guy who helped with flooding".

What brings that front may be of some concern to people. GFS has been hinting at a rough looking couple days with potential for Severe Weather, primarily across the Midwest, but it could be more widespread.

Count me in that number. Supernovaksy...had him pictured as some cool, reclusive Russian dissident scientist.

Nice! I’m showing 8” of rain, good luck tonight! My shop will probably have water damage in the morning I’m sure. Praying it doesn’t get in the house.

Precipitable Water.

How much rain could you squeeze out of the column. These 2.25"+ are pretty damn high. It's going to be pushing 2.6" near the center as it goes in.

Making another attempt at getting an inner core established, can see the center band tightening up on radar. Every time it has tried, shear has kick it in the face but it's close enough to shore where it might bring some nastier wind than expected right along the coast of Texas.

I think you're seeing the inner most band try to tighten up and wrap around, which is causing the western extent to shrink back some. Looks pretty much on course to me.
